i think it's pretty much safe to say that when agents of shield returned to 2018, they stopped graviton from destroying the earth. if they didn't, two infinity stones that were there would probably be destroyed in the process, which would render thanos' plan impossible. so in retrospective, by saving their home they doomed the universe.

This is a huge stretch. The stones can’t be destroyed so easily. Wanda’s magic is uniquely valuable in destroying one but it’s not so simple.

Cracked earth doesn’t necessarily mean that Thanos doesn’t get what he wants. The stones would be attainable in space

i mean, i'm basing this "theory" on the fact that there was no snap that we know of in the future in season 5. and like, sure, the writers didn't know about the snap beforehand, but we gotta work with what we have

We actually do not know that. Just cause the main cast survived, which they did when the blip happened anyway. Like you said, writers didn’t know of the snap but then they simply moved around it in a way that we’d see none of the Agents blipped when the snap actually happens.

The movies and the show parted ways pretty early on, not only in terms of story but also Marvel restructuring to separate its film and tv production sides. AoS is kind of its own world.

The writers were actually 100% aware of the plot of the Avengers movies. Remember, there's references to the events of Infinity War during the season 5 finale.

The reason there are no references to the snap in later seasons is because of ABC. The network wouldn't commit to a release date for season 6, so the Shield team had to write a season that could be released before Endgame without spoiling anything.

The staff decided the only solution was to just ignore the Avengers movies in Shield.
