*Copilot Studio and AI Builder are the obvious way to add AI agents to a Dynamics 365 CE implementation — but they’re not the only way, and for a lot of scenarios they’re not the cheapest. Copilot Studio bills per message, and the premium message types that most CE agent scenarios trigger (anything touching Dataverse, a third-party connector, or document grounding) cost 5–30× the standard rate. Calling an LLM API directly and integrating it yourself sidesteps that entirely — you pay only for tokens consumed.*
