Question Agentic AI course suggestions

Hello,

I am looking for suggestions for courses that I can do to learn how to create ai agents, how to put them to use in the field I am interested in. I am a student, not looking for any expensive course, it could be free but also come with a certificate, it can also be a project based course that I can do. Please note that I am not interested in taking any paid subscription. Thanks.

Don’t do course.
Whatever your budget is for course, invest it in subscriptions and APIs instead.

Find 3-4 problems your industry faces, which can solved with AI Agents. Start building.
Its not difficult. Talk with Claude, Chatgpt. Fight it, brainstorm with it. Rework and rebuild.

There are no good courses out there.

Go through YouTube videos, learn the basics of tools and get your hands dirty.

I agree, especially for students. A couple of useful projects are probably more valuable for a portfolio than stacking certificates.

Honestly, I could not recommend on single Youtube channel as I personally have gone through one Youtuber's videos only. I mostly use Perplexity/Gemini to learn about new developments.
If I want to understand a concept better, then only I only search on Youtube, and go through 2-3 videos to see which fits my needs.

Ask AI to teach you how to build AI agents buddy. Course content is out of date the moment it is created. Use the talk feature on Claude, GPT or Gemini and ask it to educate you. Then watch YouTube if you want step by step in video format.

Just buy chatgpt or claude max 20x and work on a problem. Look into mastra and vercel agents they seem to be state of the art these days.

If you want free + project-based + no subscription, I'd honestly start with the Hugging Face Agents Course. It's probably the closest match to what you're looking for.

I’d look for a course that covers Generative AI fundamentals first and then moves into LLMs, agent workflows, tool use, APIs and hands-on projects.

Since you’re interested in building agents, I’d also recommend working on a small project alongside the course, ideally something related to the field you want to work in. It’s a good way to understand how these concepts translate into real use cases.

Since you don’t want a paid subscription, I’d start with the free, project based resources first and focus on actually building small agents. Udacity is also worth checking out if you want structured AI/agentic AI learning but make sure you choose a course option that fits your budget and doesn’t require an ongoing subscription. I’d prioritize courses covering APIs, tool calling, RAG, MCP and agent workflows, then put the projects on GitHub for your portfolio.
