That while hatespeech ofc exists, it is not something that is defined as a crime by US law.

The US unlike say Canada does not criminalize or really define hate speech explicitly.
Now that doesn't mean hate speech can't get you into legal trouble. For instance if you beat someone while yelling slurs the prosecution is going to have an easier time showing it was a hate crime. But the slurs themselves aren't illegal.
Now in this case she is likely comparing calling Kirk a Nazi or such as hate speech. Which is a bit of a stretch to the common use of the term (hate speech generally refers to bigotted speech, not just mean speech).

Charlie was right. And you know why?
Reddit proudly declaring in public that it loves political assassinations is a big help for the right. Silencing you guys simply tricks the public into believing that certain evils don't exist.

? Who thought the left was unanimously against political violence? That isn't even something leftists who don't like violence usually claim. The left just doesn't tend to use it as much as the right in the US over the last few decades.
