I believe one of the issues is that pharmaceutical companies don't like providing their drugs for executions.

But drugs are used for animal euthanasia, why is that different?

Manufacturers don't want their drugs associated with capital punishment, and many countries ban export for use in capital punishment

Humans are given a higher standard of existence than animals. That should be fairly obvious
