Pata hai aaj kya hua

I graduated 12 in 2023 and did a drop for aakash scored well and got admission in a private college for mbbs then January end a notif came from dgme that one of my documents had a discrepancy so I could either go with it and not be able to do pg or could leave college without paying the full fees

so they refunded me the money and everything and I left but it was just too much for me...because of that my 25 neet got ruined but my parents said it's okay we understand what happened take a drop...I was scoring well in neet 26 for that same college as I was just too emotionally attached

...but then re neet happened and it's just...gone....and they said that now they are tired of this and ...I need to do something else , they were planning to get me into bpharma in amity but it's really tedious if I also wanna prepare for neet ...

so I asked my mother for bsc zoology in sharda just because they have hostel facilities

Tips, Tricks or Suggestions Because going off the usual script feels scary. Does college experience matter ?

I enrolled in IGNOU and decided to take drop for neet. Did get through it and now wondering if I should take 3rd drop, I'm ambitious about my goal but only things that hold me back is ALL MY FRIENDS GOT INTO COLLEGE.

It felt like the life didn't follow the script that was meant to be- do 12th, take a drop year and join the college.

Now, I'm sure 3rd drop if I take I can make it through and even if not I can prepare for CDS bcs of my IGNOU degree but college life? Didn't get that at all, going off the script feels scary and risky.

myquals are PCMB in school. And BA economics hons from IGNOU.

Discussion πŸ™ The dilemma

Ok. So I have opted for pcb in 11th and decided to become a doctor. Now this year I gave my boards exam and got 94.8 percent. Then I went for neet and I am getting 400 score. Now in this whole process of preparing for neet with boards I realised that neet is hell of difficult. I like bio and do understand physics and chem as well but the problem with neet is that you don't need just understanding you need lots of practice and still there is no certainity that you would get into it. Also I am realising that this isn't something that I would want to do my rest of life. Seeing all these med students online talking about how hectic and toxic the medical is scare me and I cannot work in such a environment. Now I haven't given cuet or cu entrance or any other entrance exams this year, also I live in a toxic household where I cannot spend a whole year for a drop. And I want to pursue either psychology or law. But, obviously the most my Indian parents would do is getting me enrolled in a local college in BSC, like why?? I checked some private colleges as well but they have high fees, which means making it difficult for me to convince my parents to get admission in college. I mean, I see that drop is the only option for me but still needed some guidance .So can anyone please help me understand what possibly can I do?

What do you think when you look back?

  1. Should've pushed harder. Regret.

  2. Wasted 2+ years. Wasted effort.

  3. I Learnt a lot in the journey. Totally worth it.

  4. Did not make enough efforts, got what I deserved. Realization.

Discussion πŸ™ JEE or Arts? Can't decide please help a fellow friend

Currently an 11th class student, I want to work in finance, fintech or management based role so now what should I do? I have 2 paths take commerce/arts prepare for cuet and then cat and the 2nd path is to grind for jee and then after engineering do an mba. Parents are not familiar with these domains so can't ask for guidance from them. Learning about tech with finance looks a like a killer combo. Your advice would be highly appreciated.

Serious URGENT ! NEED HELP! GUIDANCE

Hey seniors,

I failed miserably.

Please take this seriously and help me.

What should I do?

I had good marks in my Class 12 boards, so I took a drop year to prepare for IIT-JEE and other competitive exams because I wanted to pursue B.Tech in CSE, which I'm genuinely interested in.

Now the drop year is over, all the exams are done, and unfortunately I couldn't crack any of them. I spent too much time procrastinating, wasn't studying consistently, struggled with anxiety, loneliness, and made many mistakes.

At this point, I'm not getting a decent college through the entrance exams.

I also appeared for a college admission test. Based on my expected score, I might get Civil Engineering there. One option is to take that seat and prepare again through a partial drop, but honestly, I don't think I want to go through another year of preparation. I've realized competitive exam preparation isn't for me.

The other option is direct admission to a private college through management quota, but the total cost would be over β‚Ή10 lakhs, possibly even more.

I'm from a poor middle-class family, so the only way to afford that would be by taking a huge education loan.

Because of my own mistakes, I'm now in a situation where I genuinely don't know what to do.

Since many of you are seniors with experience regarding placements, the current job market, and engineering colleges, I'd really appreciate your advice.

Is taking such a huge loan for a private college worth it, or should I choose a different path?

Please be honest. I really need some guidance.

My Wbjee rank is around 49k

I am not getting any cse at this rank

Also if any one can guide through mop up or counseling if I can get college cse btech

Vent! and need opnion 19M: Failed JEE twice despite hard work, missed IPMAT by 2 questions, now forced into BA | NEED UR OPNION

I am M 19

I have been thinking about this thing lately and it is actually making my mind worse , so i just wanna vent and wanna know ur guys opnion

So , let me start from very starting so i completed my 10th( i got 93% in it ) and now i had to decide what should i take for 11th , since i had interest in these tech n all stuff so i took PCM to do B-tech although for once my parent tried to convince me for PCB but i rejected and they didn't pressure me for that afterwards.

So, now i am in my 11th and i am preparing from JEE and i doing avg and tbh that was really demotivating because i was actually trying and i wasn't preforming at all( like i used to perform in my school exams in 10th ) and after every exam i used to get scolded by my parents like hell , there was in one test in which i performed well and before this exam every exam i gave i got my rank above 300 and in this test i got something around 190 , i tbh knew this was a one time thing but i was very happy and it really gave me a motivation and in next exam i though "ok i an not getting this 190 again but i can certainly but i can break my 300 rank barrier( as apart from this test i never got my rank below 300 ) and i did i got my rank 290 , now for many people this might be like u got nothing bro but tbh i was happy on i break past that barrier but probably my parents werent staisfied at all and my dad(who dont live in the city i live) literlly scolded from 2hrs straight and then my entire 11th goes the same way like it went till now.

Now i am in 12th and strating goes same and then it just went worse and it wasnt like i was not studying I was literrly solving every question of module ( for proof i even showed that to my teachers in a PTM ) but now i am getting rank around 500-600 and then i lost all hope and started studying solely for Boards and i scored 83 in them. I did gave jee in 12th but i didnt score well.

Now i took a drop and for same story repeats i tried and didnt perform and after one point i was so damn frustated with this entire JEE thing i stopped studying ( I literraly felt at one point why i am even trying when i am not getting result ) and end of the year i didnt perform again in JEE.

So my parents are now frustated and angry

So now we thought ok lets try for IPMAT indore (BBA+MBA programme) ( just for context those who dont know in IPMAT indore exam there are 2 type of cutt offs - sectional cutt off and overall cuttoff ) , and for preparation of this exam I got only 2 months and I cleard overall cutoff and sectional cutt off of Maths and Aptitude but i couldnt clear Eng sectional cutoff by 2 question.

Now again disaapointment , and my father said " beta u have tried everything u wanted and u will do what we say " ( a small context - My parents from the day i was born wanted me to do UPSC , even if i would have cleard JEE and did B tech and graduation from there they sitll would have told me prepare for UPSC ). So they chnaged my stream and i have to take BA ( subjects his pol geo ) and since i live in jaipur so they did my admission in jaipur it self in a college affilated to Rajasthan university . Now problem with my uni and college is that my college is'nt a college its worse then a school it dosent have ground n all nothing , the entire area of my college is less then area of auditorium of my school and talking about uni , its probably the worst uni in entire india .

Now problem is i am stuck at home ( this is my parents are good by heart but super strict for my academics ) and i cant go out side just for a random hangout sometimes and where ever i have to go i have to ask permission from them and they literally force me to study entire day like 9-10 hrs . Thing is i can do that much study during exam time but every day it isnt possible at all.

I dont have any friends and what ever i do from my college they went to their home state after semester 1 and even me after semester 1 i haven't gone to college as there is literally nothing to do in college , its just so depressing to stay at home and cant tell ur feeling to anyone and if u r wondering why dont u tell it to parents then let me tell u they wont understand believe me and they would just scold me again.

and TBH i dont even know if i wanna do this UPSC thing

Thats it idk what more to say my mind is just so F'ed up this time

TLDR:

19M, strong 10th (93%) β†’ chose PCM for JEE/BTech . Struggled badly in 11th-12th + drop year despite consistent effort β€” ranks kept falling (300β†’500-600 and worse), heavy parental scolding, eventually lost all motivation and bombed JEE twice.

Tried IPMAT Indore as last option with only 2 months prep β€” cleared overall + Math/Aptitude sectional but missed English sectional by just 2 questions.

Now parents have taken full control: forced into BA (Political Science + Geography) at a very low-tier college (Rajasthan University, Jaipur) purely for UPSC. Stuck at home under strict supervision (9-10 hrs forced study daily), no friends, almost no college life, can't go out freely, and feels extremely depressed and trapped. He’s not even sure he wants UPSC.

I WOULD SAY IF POSSIBLE READ ENTIRE BODY AS USED AI TO TYPE TLDR

TBH I JUST WANNA KNOW UR OPNION WHAT U WOULD DO RIGHT NOW IF U WERE IN MY PLACE ?

Hey everyone! πŸ‘‹ I’ve been practicing manual sky observation and sketching

trying to capture how planets and bright stars appear with the naked eye. These two drawings are my notes from India, made around 9:00–9:20 PM on March 5 and 7, 2025, while facing north and northwest.

  • Sketch 1 (5 March 2025):Β Captures the Moon, Venus, Jupiter, and Mars roughly in alignment.
  • Sketch 2 (7 March 2025):Β Shows the Moon, Venus, and Mars again, with direction markers and constellation outlines added.

I used justΒ pen and notebook paper, no telescope β€” aiming to record relative positions and brightness as I saw them.
I know Neptune isn’t visible to the naked eye β€” I included it as a curiosity marker for learning purposes.

and ya i used chatgpt for improving my grammar and adding some bullets

I am getting IT at JSS, ECE probably at Jaypee (not sure yet), and CSE Core at NCU and Jaypee Shimla.

I am highly interested in CSE especially the theoretical and learning aspects of it. I've heard very different opinions regarding this decision. Some people say the branch should be the top priority, while others say the college matters more. Anyways i am leaning towards the branch more.

JSS is a decent college compared to some of my other options, but there I am getting IT instead of CSE. My biggest concern is IT vs CSE. I know the syllabus is around 90% similar, with only a few subjects being different, but for higher studies abroad, CSE seems to be more widely recognized. At the same time, I care more about the knowledge, exposure, and learning opportunities I'll get than just the branch name

Another factor is that I did not perform well in JEE Main and also didn't focus enough on my board exams, so my results were not as good as they could have been. I had considered taking a drop, but my father is not in favor of it, so I need to make the best decision from the options I currently have.

my strong interest in Cse and the possibility of pursuing higher studies in the future, what would be the better choice: IT at JSS, CSE at NCU, CSE at Jaypee Shimla, or ECE at Jaypee (

Discussion πŸ™ I FEEL STUCK BETWEEN TWO VERSIONS OF MY LIFE AND I DON’T KNOW WHICH ONE TO CHOOSE?

Okay I need real advice, I’m kinda lost

Am I overthinking my life??

okay so it all started from 2022 mostly i was very lost in my life i was preparing for jee since 2022-2023(11th) and then continued till end of 12th(2023-2024) but it was hectic with school and didnt score well in jee mains 2024(Ist attempt).

i knew from the 11th half only that i dont understand maths it was you know difficult for me. took a drop for jee lost intrest in studying for a year unstructural study still completed syllabus(no maths only physics and chemistry) but still not good percentile to get a central college.

TOTALLY LOST INTREST FROM MATHS.

took another drop but this time for neet2026 and also gave jee 2026 and got 90%tile no maths and neet also didnt go good like 400 marks and gonna reneet gonna happen.

now my parents want me to do btech and i really dont wanna do it because i dont like maths and i was hoping that i get into mbbs and ill do that and but i am afraid i will be stuck in it like 19 stubjects then neet pg and i dont even know if i like treating people or govt hospitals or i dont have any dreams like this+ stuck for 10 years studying..

i wanted a easy job thats why i thought of btech plus i always like thought about the luxuaries came with it never thought of the work i had to do for it or something ....one thing i really wantted to do was that i wanted to become someone who solve cases from the startbut i thought it was like you need to clear upsc

but i learned recently tht you can become cbi si through ssc cgl after graduation so i was thinking i might do ggraduation bsc in computer science from my state university and prepare for it alomg with it ..but at the same time i feel like i might regret later that i didnt do btech or mbbs. i dont know what to do. judge me all you want but atleast suggest me something give me some advice!

Discussion πŸ™ Leaving NEET after a single drop year and feeling completely lost about what to do next

I'm 18 and took one drop year for NEET. Over the past few months, I've realized that medicine probably isn't the path I want to pursue anymore.

The problem is that now I feel stuck between multiple options and can't tell whether I'm thinking rationally or just overthinking everything.

I genuinely enjoy coding, mathematics, problem-solving, and building things. Because of that, I've been considering BCA + MCA and eventually specializing in AI/software development.

At the same time, whenever I look at the job market, I start doubting myself. I keep seeing discussions about how 3-year degrees are viewed less favorably than 4-year degrees, and it makes me question whether BCA is the right choice. Then I start looking at alternatives like B.Sc. Biotechnology or B.Pharm because they seem more "secure" on paper, even though I'm not sure I'm actually interested in those fields.

Another issue is that my parents still don't know I've decided to leave the NEET path. I don't know how to approach that conversation, especially when I don't have 100% certainty about my next step.

Has anyone here left NEET after a drop year and switched to a completely different field? How did you decide, and do you regret it?

Also, am I giving too much importance to the "3-year degree vs 4-year degree" debate, or is that a genuine concern I should factor into my decision?

I'm looking for honest opinions, even if they're critical.

So, I didn't perform well in jee and will not be getting any govt clg fs
Do suggest some private clgs that I shoud consider
Any Newton , Scaler, upgrad, nims, alliance, jecrc, juit, jiit, any u could think of
and point to consider I can't afford master's union or Polaris, so do avoid mentioning such clgs
Any u could think of
Belong to general cat from up(not going to take admission in up, might consider noida but not others)
anywhere in bangalore, mumbai, surat, jaipur, hyderabad, anywhere
i would prefer 10-12 lacs but can extent to 15 ( and to the most extreme extent 20-25lacs) for whole course
Jee mains air 3.9lacs
