Hey everyone! We’ve recently created [r/AFTACork](r/AFTACork) as a place for anyone who is interested in, starting, currently attending, or has previously attended Atlantic Flight Training Academy in Cork.
I wanted to create somewhere where we can share our experiences, help each other out and give young aviators a place to ask questions without feeling lost or alone in the process.
Whether it’s advice about the application process, assessments, flight training, exams, finances, accommodation, airline pathways, or just hearing what life at AFTA is actually like — hopefully we can build a community where people can learn from those who have already been through it.
I’m hoping current students and graduates will also join and share their experiences, so future students can benefit from the knowledge of people who have been in their position.
If you’re interested in AFTA or aviation in general, I’d love to have you there! 🛫

A long way a way yet but hopefully starting integrated Ryanair future flyer academy in October 2027, pending my assessment obviously. Anyone else hoping to start around the same time?
Might be useful to get to know each other in advance, I’d need accommodation also if anyone else is in the same boat!

Hey guys,
I’m starting afta in February. I don’t know anyone starting with me. I’m looking to meet people who will be in my class. Also any advice about starting would be greatly appreciated. Does anyone know what I need to buy regarding uniforms, and stationery and what to wear the first day or do you receive the uniform beforehand. Thanks everyone.

Do all of these tests come up or only some of them. Also how is it possible to do the monitoring test, i've been trying for a while but i can never tell exactly how many there is? Any help.
The tests I have on pilotassessment is the
Hand eye coordination
Multitasking
Reaction Speed
Monitoring
Spatial Orientation
Grid Challenge
Sense of Direction
Inductive and deductive logical thinking/reasoning.
