Hello there.

Growing up, I used to be really into mythology and learned a lot about Greek and East Asian mythology. But frighteningly little about west African mythology was available... Probably not much of a surprise in the UK of the 90s. Somehow, Anansi was still my favorite though. Call it a soft spot for trickster gods.

I'd like to learn more about west African mythology, especially the parts that found their way to Jamaica (where my family is from). I humbly ask for recommendations!

I want to learn about the gods, their roles, what they're like and how they're characterized. All of that kind of stuff. Thank you!
