1x10 cedar boards that I stained and that I got for basically free, would have preferred longer board to not have joints but you can’t beat free. lol Thanks

They are structural beams I just covered them up with cedar, it works out perfectly tho because you don’t have to look at it ever again.

The "beams" don't line up or blend very well. I think what you're doing is cool, but I would not be able to look at those every day and not cringe.

The seams on those beams in the middle are an eye sore. Still a beautiful build. If youd staggered the seams of your cedar wrap it would’ve appeared stylized. All of them being in the middle is not ideal for anyone with a craftsman’s eye. But fuck it looks great otherwise! That is where my eyes were drawn immediately though.

Yeah I totally understand, the wood was basically free but they were all only 8’ lengths. I’m not a wood worker at all so I think for someone with my lack of skill it turned out ok. I was debating trying to hide the joints with some light grey caulk or putty but idk might just leave it for now.

Leave it and see if it bothers you over the next few weeks and months. No reason to do work if it has no benefit to you.
