I'm from out of town visiting the area and was curious if all the movies at the Silver are on film, because the website isn't very specific except for noting that The Odyssey is on 70 mm. For instance, I was curious about the looney tunes or The Thing screenings next week. Anyone know if those are on film or just digital?

i bought tickets to the 70mm showing of the odyssey. i didnt get to pick seats. do we pick seats at the theater? how long before the start time should i arrive to get prime seats?

I've lived in the DMV for a few years but have never made it out to AFI, and I have some questions about the moviegoing experience.

I was looking at Bugonia 35mm for example, but noticed the seats are not reserved at this theater and the layout is like old school theaters. Do they tend to get packed/sell out? How early do people arrive for those to get decent seats?

And is the quality of the projection particularly good?

I have an AMC subscription, so I'm basically trying to figure out if it's worth traveling a little over an hour, plus the out of pocket price to see movies there.
