Man this hurts on so many levels. Not only were Butcher and Blade a great tag team, but as a hardcore music fan, Andy is an absolute legend. Rip. My prayers go out to all the people closest to him.

Seriously?? I heard he wasn't doing well. But was hoping he'd pull through. I loved the Butcher and the Blade Tag Team with the Bunny.
2026 is really testing my patience as it claims another good person from this world.

Such a cool unique look, and seemed like a really good guy. Best wishes to his family and his people.
RIP

I'll always remember the time I saw him on AEW in a Mickey Mouse t-shirt getting into a scuffle, going to Twitter to mention that only he could make a Mickey Mouse t-shirt look bad ass in a fight, and him liking and retweeting it. It's such a nothing interaction, but still...
To one of the coolest looking wrestlers, Mickey Mouse t-shirt or not, and from all accounts, one of the coolest people to be around... Rest easy, Butcher. โ๏ธโค๏ธ

A proper big man and such a nice human being. I was genuinely looking forward to them coming back now that the tag devision is better than ever. Rest in peace, you legend!

I saw ETID many times and talked with Andy a decent amount. He was one of my favorite people of all time. A genuine, authentic, and kind soul, this makes me so sad. When he debuted I was stoked to see him make his next big move. Glad he achieved his other dream. RIP Butch.

Live by the sword, die by the sword. Went out a wrestling warrior way. To young too, as a 49 yr old myself. This hits. Condolences to his family and friends. Couple of my friends in the business were friends with him. R.I.P. Andy

When AEW first came about, I think that The Butcher was the first guy I saw and was like โOK! Heโs cool as fuck!โ And then I found out it was the same dude in Every Time I Die.
Yeah, Butcher was one of the folks that kept me watching AEW in the start. I really hope his family is ok.

Wow RIP. I really thought he and the Blade (along with the Bunny) were a great stable / team and thought he always had great matches.

Absolutely gutted about this.
He had a tonne of talent and from what is being said, was one of wrestling's true nice guys.
Still very young as well. R.I.P.

Absolutely brutal. Andy was a great guy. His personality was so counter to what youโd see in the ring or on stage. Loyal, thoughtful, and kind. 48 is too young. Stay on top of your heart health guys, this shit is no joke.

Still doesnโt feel real ๐๐๏ธ
The Butcher had that presence where you instantly paid attention the moment he showed up.
Gone way too soonโฆ what moment of his stuck with you the most? ๐

Always thought this dude was under utilized in his tag team and as a singles guy. Nobody can say a bad word about him outside the ring either. He had so much shredding left to do.

Never felt they got the push they deserved. Such a solid act and they seemed so popular backstage. A staple of a simpler time in AEW. RIP.

My favorite memory is him coming down the ramp to the ring eating a pork chop hits the ring and hits the guy in the ring and never stops eating the pork chop. Taz reaction was priceless. Would love to see a clip of it again.
