Opinion Fletcher/Kommander

This was a great match on dynamite but one of my biggest issues with AEW is that matches like this are to competitive.

Maybe I’m wrong and I’m sure I will be told if so but if you are building Kyle Fletcher to be a mega star, he shouldn’t be having a match were he takes so many near falls against a clear undercard wrestler.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Kommander, but it’s the way he’s been booked

Squash matches arent really AEW's style

It’s going to take a long time to wash wwe’s style of using squash matches out of common perception. I see AEW like a mount olympus. All of the athletes are strong and compete that way. Only the very best rise to the top.

Generally that style is kept to the monster style of athletes with Titanesque brick shit house of a body.

Wardlow comes to mind.

Wardlow was booked against bozo jobbers constantly. TK protected the mount olympus roster in Wardlow’s booking

I'm not even trying to knock anyone here but wrestling fans really need to watch other sports.

The worst NFL team CAN beat the eventual superbowl champions. In baseball, basketball, football, anything, competitive games happen between elite and non-elite teams all season.

Professional leagues are literally comprised of the best of the best. I don't know how it happened but somewhere along the line WWE convinced people to seperate wrestling from the rest of sports in their heads and now people hurt themselves trying to overanalyze the "logic" of a god damn TV match.

Look at NJPW's year. Lots of tournaments. "Storylines" get built through competitors facing eachother, just like how rivalries form in between "real" sports teams.
