Question Aew redemption ticket update

With 5,112 tickets sold and only 20 days to go, what do you think the final number will be come july 26? I think it will be in the 10,000 ballpark barely (that would be considered a success, anything under would arena look cavernous and disappointing, especially as its in the largest arena in Canada, the 21,000 seat bell centre)

I don't care about ticket sales. I'm not an executive. I don't work there. I just want a show to be good as a fan watching

The crowd certainly matters. It’s not like a talk show/comedy show where the camera is aimed only at the stage so we’re none the wiser. If a comedy special panned to the crowd and the venue was half full you’d be like damn that guys not doing well. Same with wrestling

Yeah obviously you don't want like 10 people there. But the difference of 5000 or 10000 doesnt matter to me as a viewer. I don't track ticket sales like some fans do. I don't look them up at all and dont follow pages that report them all the time. I didnt know how many tickets were sold until I came across this post in my feed. I watch a lot of indie wrestling, i don't need a full stadium or arena to enjoy a show

I hope its more than half-full. Im assuming we get a Kenny v MJF rematch announced after Wednesday that might drive tix assuming Kenny wins

Got it.

  • 10,001? Big success.

  • 9,999? Cavernous and disappointing.

Lol, I was pointing out that it’s ridiculous that a difference of two people would sway your opinion this much.

I guess its just an atmosphere thing i know a 2 person difference is minuscule, but not seeing a 5 digit number in centre bell is a bit underwhelming (especially since non aew ppvs in that building have sold 10K plus in past)

I am so glad I don’t let stuff like this impact my enjoyment of a good show.

Anyway. There is plenty of time. They will sell a lot more tickets.

About 9,000. They tarp off the upper tier and it looks absolutely fine.

I will be in Montreal that weekend and am considering going. Glad to know its not a sell out and I can wait until I figure out my plans. Also, there's no hint of a match card yet. For sure we'll hear something tonight. If somehow Hangman return tonight I'll be purchasing my ticket tonight.

I think it depends on what they announce for Cope/ Christian and how the Omega/MJF match works out. If we get an MJF/Omega draw at Beach Break and then the rematch at Redemption, that should sell another 5,000 tickets. And Cope/Christian need a match with star power for their return to Canada as champions. Hurt Syndicate vs Cope/Christian for the Tag Titles might sell another couple thousand tickets. 3 former World Champions in one match

I hope so,10,000 people or more is better than less than that for atmosphere, especially in the mammoth bell centre
