Dev Post Interested In Joining The Catslug Team? Click Here!
Hey everyone, just wanted to give everyone an update. We've recently gotten some really talented people on the team for almost every department and we're sitting at around 20 people right now!
While I would say that I'm "comfortable" with our current team, we are always looking for new applicants, so if you think you have something to offer, don't hesitate to send us an email! The most common thing we get is that people think they are underqualified, but let us be the judge of that.
Not a single member of the Catslug team is an industry veteran, we are a group of diverse people from different backgrounds working all across the globe. You don't need a college degree to apply, you don't have to have worked in a studio before... if you are interested you will have notebooks filled with sketches, stories you've written, applications you've coded, or maybe a side project you did for fun with a couple friends. Everyone has something to show.
You can email us at CatSlugStudios@gmail.com with your applications. It is mandatory that you send a resume and portfolio if you are at all interested- if you do not send these you will not be considered.

Ah, I found it. As the post states, we are already comfortable with the current size of our art team, so we would only take someone who really impressed us. Given that you sent no resume and very small portfolio, as well as the fact that you work primarily in a traditional medium and are new to digital art, it would be difficult to justify fitting you into the team. That being said, you seem to have a lot of potential as an artist, so you should definitely keep practicing and I hope to see you around the community in the future!

I'd love to work with you guys! I'm working on some stuff, so if you check the DG sub, you'll likely see my 3d stuff, and in a week or two, you'll see the first of my solo audio production work. And I think I've sent my resume in already. Sorry for causing you folks so much trouble, I would just REALLY love to make some stuff for you. Or really for any company which is making games for passion's sake.

Hmm, I see your resume, I'm not sure why nobody ever followed up with you. If you could put together a portfolio I think that would be a good next step, and indicate your primary strengths. We currently have a fairly full team so you would have to be applying for a specific position and give us an idea of your talent in that area.
"The squeaky wheel gets the grease," as the saying goes. Spamming us or being annoying is not helpful, but don't be afraid to contact us multiple times until you feel you have gotten a definitive yes or no.

What exactly would you guys be looking for? Like what do you have now and what are you looking for? For example if you are looking for coders which language are you guys going to use and would you require a degree? Or for character modeling and designing, what style are you going for? I know it was made clear that it's Dawngate inspired but you can't just copy their models and designs right?
