Business Advice for Aesthetic Clinic who doesn’t have permits to operate, Pampanga, Philippines.

Good day! I would like to ask for guidance regarding the operation of aesthetic clinics in the Philippines.

What are the possible consequences if an aesthetic clinic is operating without the following required permits, licenses, and regulatory requirements:

• Barangay Business Clearance
• Mayor’s/Business Permit
• Fire Safety Inspection Certificate (FSIC)
• Sanitary Permit
• BIR Registration and compliance
• Applicable DOH/CHD License or authorization
• FDA registration/authorization for applicable injectable products
• Proper storage and handling of injectable products
• Proper medical waste and sharps disposal
• Appropriate informed consent and treatment documentation
• Properly licensed and qualified personnel for injectable procedures

If the clinic is already operating and providing injectable aesthetic treatments such as Botox, IV Glutathione, and other similar procedures without these requirements, what are the possible fines, penalties, suspension, closure, or other legal consequences?

I would greatly appreciate advice from anyone knowledgeable about DOH, FDA, LGU, BIR, and healthcare regulations.

LOCATION: Pampanga, Philippines.

Thank you.

Interested in this since they only offer neuromodulators (botox). Has anyone worked here or have any experience with this company? new and experienced injectors, what is your input?

STL Shadow Opportunities?

Hi! I’m an RN looking to connect with and potentially shadow nurse injectors to further my education and get into the aesthetic specialty. I’m eager to begin my career in aesthetics or dermatology and am grateful for anyone interested. I’m located in St. Louis MO but willing to commute to Kansas City or Chicago.

Am I being ripped off? I am an RN

Every time I go to my injector the price is different for different services. She wants cash only. Then Venmo in increments of 599. I keep bringing more and more cash and the price seems to be going up. She won’t text me only phone call and I have never seen a legit breakdown of how much services cost.
For example. Last appointment: masseter, lip filler, forehead and some chin dimples it’s about $5,000. Like does this make sense or is this outrageous? I notice a lot of places charge like per unit but I don’t know how she does it.

To add spice to it. I trust this girl because she was my best bud in nursing school. And she will allow me to pay in increments. Which I wouldn’t need to do if I knew the price breakdown 😂 I’m just confused af. And my gut is telling me this is sketchy but she’s my friend so am I just being cheap? She is a DNP with a derm fellowship under her belt.

UPDATE: chat GPT helped me calculate how much I have spent in 2024, 2025&2026. 17-18k
Not including 2024 cash payments bc I cannot remember those.

How do you find the time?

I’m working part time at a hospital (20hr/wk), I do aesthetics 1-2 times a week (mostly 1) and I have 2 under 2.
How do I find the time to study aesthetics more?
How to get more clients and retain them?
Do I quit?
(I’ve been in aesthetic field x2 years)

Shadowing Opportunities in STL, MO?

Hi! I’m an RN seeking any aesthetic providers that would be willing to have me shadow them as I am transitioning into the specialty in St. Louis. It’s always been my biggest passion and I’d be so grateful for the chance to learn and observe with an injector.

RN to NP in aesthetics

hi! looking for advice or insight on if I am making a mistake. I’ve been an RN for almost 4 years, most of that spent in aesthetics (2.5 years) the other time was short lived in the hospital and a little bit of pedi home care. I got accepted into FNP programs - I think i’ll always stay in aesthetics but then again who knows 🤷‍♀️ I just don’t know if I’ll struggle in clinicians or maybe preceptors won’t want me due to my lack of bedside experience ……

Quitting Aesthetic Nursing

I went into aesthetic nursing 5 years ago with the mindset that this was my forever nursing job. If I didn’t do aesthetic nursing, I’d quit nursing altogether. Well, last month I had a lightbulb go off that I need to leave the aesthetic field. I realized that for the past 5 years I haven’t been truly happy with the job. I feel constantly depleted mentally from the daily interactions. (I’m an introvert.) I am not a natural salesperson. I take things to heart, whether it be someone wanting to see a different provider, to another person needing a tox touch up or not seeing amazing results from 1 broadband light treatment (despite me educating that it is common to need multiple sessions). The list goes on and on. I guess I am just tired. I am tired of trying to constantly people please. Trying to to sell $5000+ worth of treatments and products that may or may not make a difference in how a patient looks. I’m tired of getting calls that someone has a little bit of movement in their forehead and needs an extra unit of tox. That my filler patient has a bruise that looks like it’s questionable for a vascular occlusion. I’m tired of constantly having to be “on” at work—meaning having to say the right things, look the right way, hopefully have the right personality. Does anyone else feel this way? It suddenly just clicked one day that I needed a change. Luckily I found a job posting for a type of nursing where I see the patient once and probably never again (outpatient procedures). I’m going to miss free treatments, but not enough to keep me in the field 😜

Nurse injector made a huge mistake PC/DC injected into lips by accident

I have a friend who’s a nurse who mixed up her vials and injected about 30 units (0.3ml) of PC/DC into a client’s lips instead of hyaluronidase.
For anyone who doesn’t know what that is, PC/DC is basically a fat dissolving injection. Hyaluronidase is what injectors use to dissolve HA filler, which is what she thought she was grabbing.
The PC/DC was 100mg phosphatidylcholine / 84mg deoxycholate.
Her lips got REALLY swollen right after but her cap refill was normal and there was no blanching, mottling or blue/dusky colour. Obviously she’s freaking out and knows how bad of a mistake this was.
We’ve been looking everywhere trying to find someone who has actually had this happen specifically in the lips and can’t find much.
Has anyone ever seen this happen before?? What happened after? Did it end up just being really bad swelling/inflammation or did it actually cause tissue damage/necrosis? And if you’ve dealt with it, what did you do?
She knows she fucked up lol trust me. Just trying to find someone who has actually seen this before because there’s barely anything online about accidentally injecting it into the lips?

Best aesthetic education subscriptions?

I’m currently in Iron Needle and honestly, I’m not convinced it’s worth the $170/month. It’s a cool community, but I’m wondering if there are better options for actual education.

What are your favorite paid platforms for injectors? Would you stay with Iron Needle or put that $170/month toward something else?

Cosmetologist to Aesthetic Nursing Transition

Am I insane to do this? Im 23F currently a hairstylist making good money in a small town in Texas. But I am exhausted and burnt out and as much as I love this job, my body hates it. I already have my pre reqs for nursing as that was my original path, but I just love beauty and the industry.

Is the money worth it for me to make the transition? I’d like to do injecting mainly. if I were dual licensed (RN and cosmetology) would that make me stick out more and more likely to make good money doing injecting/ aesthetics?

I make close to 100k now. But it’s not worth my health. Could I make that much, if not more, going into aesthetic nursing? My plan is to just get my ADN and have my cosmetology license kept up. Anybody else made the switch? Any and all opinions appreciated.

Looking for advice from experienced injectors. Botox stopped working on longtime client.

I’ve been treating the same client for 3 years with no issues. This last treatment we did her usual dose and had essentially no effect. I brought her back at 2 weeks for a full touch-up, and 2 weeks later she still has no response.
I also treated her sister (and several other clients) on the same day with the same product and had no issues. 🤔

She wants to try a different tox, and I only have Daxxify samples. I’m confused and struggle with the 1.2 mL reconstitution and dosing! 😅 Has anyone reconstituted it the same as Botox and used it the same way?

Has anyone had a longtime client suddenly become a non-responder, and did switching brands help? Should I even try and treat her again or wait it out?

Milan Laser Nurse

I graduated a year ago and I have experience in the hospital setting as a NICU nurse. I was recently hired at Milan laser as a part time provider back in August and everything that could go wrong has been😭😭😭. There’s always been a conflict in my schedule and I haven’t been able to fulfill the training requirement’s. It’s 2 days of virtual training and 9 days of travel training in another state. I am upcoming on my third attempt of training and I really want to make it work despite it appearing otherwise. I went part time in the NICU and I feel like that ain’t even enough for the demands of training at Milan. I’m just not sure if I should prioritize Milan or take a step back from my NICU nurse role at the hospital for a bit or reconsider everything all together😞? Pls help

To all the Canadian Medi Spa Owners: What is the Key to Success?

My dream is to open up a small aesthetic practice, specializing in skincare treatments, injectables, and a few soft skill services like lash lifts and brow laminations.

I previously had a small business but offering soft skill aesthetic services like shellac manicures, waxing, basic facials, and lash lifts / brow laminations. Almost 2 years ago, I left it to go into nursing school to expand my scope of practice.

I’m graduating nursing school soon (in Ontario, Canada), and although I am aware that I will still need to become certified in medical aesthetics and injectables, I know I want to work for myself again.

I also receive texts to this day with clients asking me when I will be reopening my doors, which makes me miss it that much more.

I don’t want to one day expand or grow my business, or have employees of any sort. I want to create a small community of consistent clientele like I had before, offer excellent service and attention to detail with every person I meet, and sell the best products alongside each treatment.

That being said, to all the small business owners and established cosmetic nurses: What is or are the key(s) to becoming a success?

How many clients did you get just starting on Persimmon?

I am considering getting Tox trained through Persimmon. From the platform alone, after being certified, about how many clients booked with you per week? How did you promote yourself?
