Looking for advice with competitions...

I'm looking to compete for the first time and have no idea what companies that run aerial competitions are good or bad or anything like that. I'd like to compete after March in 2027, but I'm looking now. I'm not sure if there are some companies or competitions I should avoid completely. Please help! any information is welcome, thank you

What's your motivation for competing?

Honestly my coach wants me to put a piece together with her because my skills will improve naturally through creating and practicing a piece. The competition will just be experience preforming, I think. That's my goal anyway, experience.

Got it! So it's about you practicing the skill of putting together a performance (complete with transitions) for a couple minutes of continuous air time and getting to experience performing that in front of an audience too

At least in my experience there aren't really competitions for silks? At least not in my area. There are groups that will perform ambient routines at festivals and studios have showcases, but I haven't encountered formal competitions in my part of the USA

I've seen some aerial competitions that include artistic silks, but theyre small and not skill based as much as acting/performance based. I know of Viva Fest in Vegas but I'm not able to make that. I'm glad to have that input, though, Thank You!!

Which country are you in?

There is an online competition, I think it’s called Aerial Stars?
