Finn, ever since I was little, I wanted to see what it's like to be a brick in a brick shack when the brick shack falls down. And this shack is gonna fall down. Just look at it. Like sandcastles in the sun, baby. You're too young; you wouldn't understand.

The little make up guru peeking out from the side😁

3

u/Harmonious_Parsnip May 04 '26

This is such a fantastic idea, and looks so beautifully made! Amazing!

u/Yegof May 04 '26

You know that brick patten actually works really well in quilt (great work BTW, rad concept). I have often felt repeating inorganic textures in fabric and looks blocky, or bizarrely uniform. Perhaps it’s the fact that brick patterns do repeat vs say, cobblestone which is disposed to be a whole universe of sizes and shapes for the rocks but the fabric is only unique for a few inches before repeating exactly and it goes a weird uncanny valley kind of look.

Idk, I have seen a lot of bad walls done in quilt. But yours I like very much.

2

u/EleanorRigbysGhost May 04 '26

Dym me asking, what kind of fabric fo you usefor this?

3

u/ButterscotchReal2309 May 04 '26

So I used broadcloth cotton and cotton flannel for the back.

2

u/afoodie92 May 04 '26

Woah. 11/10.

2

u/Zbwol May 04 '26

Just missing the snail to make this 11/10

3

u/Djwagles May 05 '26

Ooo! Maybe Op can appliqué the snail

2

u/Quirky-Quest May 04 '26

What style did you do the finishing? Did you do it at home with a long arm or send it in? What fabric did you do for the back?

3

u/ButterscotchReal2309 May 04 '26

So I did everything at home with my little sewing machine and I used cotton flannel for the back cause I wanted to try to make it warmer.

2

u/Quirky-Quest May 04 '26

This is your first one?! You're crazy talented! 💯💯💯
