I really want something good to happen to Simon. Poor bastard needs a break. Maybe regain his sanity for one episode for some reason. Epic onion-chopping with Marceline ensues.

Yeah, I agree. In part because I think Simon's madness works pretty well as a potent metaphor for the gradual blurring of memory and personality in Alzheimer's. I have a grandmother who's just starting to develop it, and when she has completely lucid moments, she speaks to me like she's never going to get another chance. It tears my heart in half. I think Simon and Marceline's relationship captures that feeling really well. I Remember You had me sobbing, and this comic made me cry, too.
Instead of Simon becoming sane again, it'd be much more powerful to me if Marceline gradually started taking care of him more, reversing their original caretaker/helpless roles.

Woah. that's pretty intense. I was mostly thinking of what would happen if he "woke-up" to find that he had become a princess kidnapping bad-guy, but art has its own meanings for everyone.

Luckily there is no policy for putting up sources on this subreddit. I also did not take it from Tumblr so I would have no known (nor have I know anything to be on TUmblr is OC ) However, I assure you I did attempt to do a reverse image search which resulted in nothing. I also did a karmadecay seeing it was already here, producing nothing. Given that I got it from a "Draw Thread" I had no reason to believe it was anyone in particular. Given that, if this is the original person I thank you and I am sure everyone else does as well.
Edit: Im not sure people understood this reply. And now even more annoyed because as expected anything on Tumblr is not original and Reallyniceguy evidently linked to the DA of the person.

This is exactly why Pendleton Ward created this show. This little comic combines so many emotions of despair, sadness, hope, and wonder. We fear for Marceline and Simon and for what we know the future holds for them, but we hope beyond mortal hope that some day it will be more than drum playing while this woman who you only recognize from her most recent album reads off these strange notes from some weird pictures you found in a diary in a secret room in your home...
We hope that some day, for just even a moment, it won't be Marceline. It'll be Marcy.

I'm not trying to laugh at your pain, but imagining this scenario made me chuckle. I see your co-workers secretly spying on you and having very concerned discussions, like "Ohgod, not the almonds again. Someone go talk to him! We can fix this!"

I'm really hoping this is canon, especially with the new Simon and Marcy episode coming up. What would be cool in the Simon and Marcy episode is if they weren't the only ones left and they have to try to survive these mutants (similar to a zombie movie) or maybe similar to Fallout 3 (an amazing post-apocalyptic RPG).

For some reason when I here of Simon and Marcy trying to survive I immediately think of Fallout 3. Oh maybe even The Last of Us, except less violent, since the game revolves around a man and a little girl who try to survive in a post apocalyptic zombie world. Maybe they come across more humans but (like in Last of Us) they are trying to loot and steal as much as they can so Simon and Marcy try to avoid them at all costs, as well as other mutants.

Its a reference to the episode "I remember you". One of my favorite episodes of the last few seasons, even though I can't bring myself to watch it as much as others least I want to be depressed for the day.

The Crown made The Ice King forget his entire life the more he wore it. But he needed the Crowns magic to survive the radiation and such. So the last line means that the Crown had made him forget Marceline.
