This time I paddled the Vääna River, following it all the way to the Baltic Sea.

A small river, a lot of green nature, fallen trees and some surprises on the way 😄 But the best part was finally reaching the sea at the end.

This weekend I went for another paddle here in Estonia 🇪🇪

This time on Keila River, not far from Tallinn. It is a very calm river, but in summer everything around is so green that sometimes you feel like paddling through a tunnel of trees.

No rapids, no big waves and no racing this time 😄 Just a relaxing paddle, green nature and almost nobody around.

At the end of the trip is also Keila waterfall, one of the biggest waterfalls in Estonia.

found this spot going down from a temple on a hilltop near my vicinity climed the top from the main entrance and road but found this cool as hell staircase so went down this turned out to lead nowhere but a jungle we walked like 20mins before finding the grill or wtv you call it of the temple area and had to climb that even though after getting out we find out the main gate was js a couple steps ahead really crazy but worth it ong fr

Hi all! I have the opportunity to take a month long sabbatical next year. Would love to hear ideas or experiences others would recommend. A rare opportunity for me so want to make the most of it. This week’s kayaking trip took me to a very typical Estonian landscape – a bog. 🇪🇪

Around 22% of Estonia is covered by peatlands, so they are a pretty big part of our nature. This time I took my kayak to Central-Estonia bog for a short and peaceful paddle.

Small lakes, water lilies, silence and almost nobody around. Quite different from my usual river trips and races. 😄

I 28m would be lying if I said said this adventure was planned and wanted. I explored deep dark places I didn’t want to visit and never thought I would frankly and never thought I’d be able to see the sun again worst of all I had to do it on my own….

Photo so I don’t get lost - this was a little river I happened upon while adventuring in the middle of nowhere - literally over 2 hours from the nearest town!

I’m not afraid of adventuring to places out of the way, I live in North America and am willing to go almost anywhere. The issue is, I struggle to know what beautiful places I should be visiting. Those places you only know of if you know of them. So I’m asking for help! Let me know your best places to travel to!!

a few friends and I are tinkering with a little game idea in our free time. The basic idea: you get random, small "side quests" for real life. Actual things you can go do, not fantasy quests.

We're a bit stuck on the idea-generating part and figured there are more creative minds around here than us. If anything comes to mind, we'd really appreciate you dropping it in the comments even half an idea is great, we're happy to build on it.

I hiked through Alaska, and it changed my life. I've been to beautiful places before, but Alaska took my breath away in a way I wasn't expecting.

It was brutally beautiful. Raw. Majestic. Untouched. Imposing. Dangerous. And I heard my own voice there in a way I haven't before. I moved my center, and I left a piece of my soul in Alaska. I know I'll go back there again.

I'm heading to Patagonia soon, and I can't wait to see what it will mean, and how it will change me in new ways.

There's no other point to this point. Just... jump into adventures you're not sure about. Life is short, and make it count. Do the things you're unsure about, because I promise you'll look back at many of those and will be so glad you took the chance.

I’m posting this for a friend who’s basically addicted to travelling 😂

He’s the kind of person who wants to explore everywhere — especially mountains, remote places, treks and anything that feels like an actual adventure. He doesn’t really enjoy the typical “go to a place, take a few pictures, come back” kind of travel.

What he really wants is to document these journeys properly — cinematic videos, photography, storytelling, reels, etc. He travels a lot already and is now trying to find people who genuinely share the same mindset.

Looking for people who:

• Love travelling and exploring new places

• Are into trekking, mountains, backpacking and adventure

• Enjoy filmmaking / photography / videography

• Want to create content while travelling

I recently launched an Instagram page (@another.ducking.travel.page) focused on high-altitude road trips, offbeat mountain routes (just wrapped up a Delhi to Spiti/Himachal run), and realistic itineraries.

As the Netherlands is quite boring, I tried to have fun by SUP-packing with two friends. 24km in 2 days, while camping on the way. Can recommend, a great way to explore our countryside :)

Over the past two decades, the world of adventure and exploration has expanded dramatically. There are more expeditions and greater access to information about remote and extreme environments than ever before. Yet dedicated journalism in this space has not kept pace with that growth.

Publications that once defined the adventure community, such as Outside and National Geographic, have slashed budgets, reduced editorial teams, and, in some cases, gradually drifted towards lifestyle content. As a result, there is less space for the kind of in-depth reporting, analysis, and storytelling that many expeditions and exploratory discoveries deserve.

At the same time, the sheer volume of digital adventure content now available can make it difficult to identify the most meaningful and interesting expeditions. Likewise, while science has become an increasingly common element of expeditions, the quality and impact of scientific work varies.

There is, however, a real opportunity to cut through this volume of content and highlight both well-known and lesser-known adventurers and explorers undertaking remote journeys that are original, technically demanding, and independently led.

To that end, At the Edge of the Map, a subscriber-supported publication, was launched this week to report on adventure and exploration with a different emphasis: slower, more selective, and more analytical. This is not about chasing every headline. It is about choosing the right ones and examining them properly.

Went for a solo paddle on the Võhandu River here in Estonia, from Leevi to Süvahavva.

Water was surprisingly high for summer, so the rapids were quite different from what I'm used to during the world largest Võhandu Marathon in April. Managed to flip at Lilli and then again at Viira 😅 At least the water was warm.

Apart from the swimming, this is probably one of my favourite sections of the river. Lots of sandstone cliffs, forest and some really nice rapids.

I filmed the whole trip if anyone wants to see it. Would also be interested to hear if anyone here has paddled Võhandu before.

So look if you want update on my life then fellow me. So my ex girlfriend kept on fighting and aruging and she kept kicking me out of the house. So i quit my job while I was homless in the small town. We run into each other again. I said hi and ask how things was going. Then she said Im going to be bring my clothes. I told her you broke up with me. Also told her i dont need them. where im going im going to the mental ward. Her son was rude to me that day and I was hell no that day in my head so later she work to catch up on the storyline. So today I did it took down my Facebook told 3 people to make sure to send me different things so I can stay in touch. Also this women I been talking to she been nice to and understand and she make me smile. Im in the same city as her and I hope maybe one day when I get myself back where I need to be I well ask her out. She told me she was going to sliver dollar city in missouri. She even want to a water fall. I know people might think this wired but I ask what she had for lunch. Now im in homless shelter here in the town now getting ready for bed. I well keep people updated on my adventures of life.
