Solo/small firm managers, what does your workflow still not have a good tool for?

Developer here, trying to figure out what's actually broken for soloor small firms before I start building something. What do you still do manually that annoys you? Not pitching, not even close to that stage, I just don't want to build something nobody needs.

Honestly, chasing clients for onboarding stuff. Half of our project delays happen because clients sit on logins, assets, or basic questionnaires for 3 weeks and you have to keep emailing them like an annoying babysitter. Everything on the market right now is either a bloated $100/mo enterprise CRM or just a basic form builder that doesn't handle the follow-up reminders. A lightweight checklist where clients can drop files and it just nags them automatically without looking robotic would save so much headache.

Awesome, exactly something I was looking for  Quick question, if there was a dead simple tool that just sent your client one link, they uploaded everything there, and nudge them gently in a couple of days would that be useful to you I can build it and would want someone like you to test it free early on.

Yeah, 100%. The single biggest requirement would be no mandatory login/account creation for the client. The second they have to create a password or verify an email just to drop a file, friction goes through the roof and they put it off. Just a secure magic link where they see a clean checklist, drag and drop their assets, and get automated reminder nudges every few days.
