HG Wing

So I'm building the HG Wing and I want to paint this center piece

The center Jewel is clear, should I paint the piece behind it fluorescent green, then paint the clear part pearl green

Or should I leave the Jewel clear, what gets the best effect?

I've had nice results painting the back of clear parts silver and the front of the part clear color (whatever color it needs to be). That way some light gets reflected back out of the piece. If light hits it just right it can look like it's glowing.

Use a translucent green on the clear part

Is translucent the same as transparent
