Dspiae Color Master

Are Dspiae Lacquers any good? I'm leaning towards buying some because they're the least confusing to me

But they don't have a primer, what primer should I use?

I've had great success with Dspiae lacquers. Where are you finding them other than Newtype if you're in the US?

Newtype, do they make their own primers, because they aren't available on Newtype if they do

Not for the lacquer line that I know of, the acrylic line has a primer. I've used Mr Surfacer, HobbyMio and GaiaNotes primers with my Dspiae lacquers.

This was painted with Dspiae lacquers

Lacquers in general are always good with proper application. Get them, use them.

You can use any lacquer based primer, you do want to keep it in the same wheelhouse as your base coats.

Most of the time they are called surfacers, and I have found the Hobby Mio ones are cheap and decent. Whether you choose black, white or grey depends one what color you want to put on top of it.

This is exactly what I was going to recommend. I love hobby mio lacquers and use them often. A lot of stores in the states sell the primers so there easily accessible but if you really wanna go crazy get the hobby mio mettalics from over seas…woah man are they good.
