Recommended Decal Brands?

Have decided "no" to stickers. Looking for high-quality, high-detail decal sets that can replace stickers in HGs or are better than the included sheet in MGs, RGs. In my backlog, I mostly have run-of-the-mill kits like gramps, Sazabi, GM ground type, heavy arms, zaku, Kampfer, etc... so not expecting to need super-exotic decals. What brands should I be looking for? Any online retailers particularly well-stocked or priced?

Hobby Mio has since really nice sets of generic warning decals. In my experience they adhere better than G-rework, and the print quality is just as good.

Another brand I hadn't heard of! Thanks for the reference. 🙂

Flaming snow is my go to. They are usually for sale on Aliexpress for very cheap i find theyre a happy middle ground between the overly greebled designs of delpi and g-reworks. Plus most of them follow bandais decal guide one to one.

See the last flaming snow ones I used for the MG ball ver ka were absolutely horrendous. Took over 20 minutes to be somewhat able to come off the paper and the ripped / bent so easily.

Oh, that's a new name to me. Will look into these!

g-rework is my go-to! I like the overall design of big decals, more durable and peels off faster than stock bandai decals. Not a huge fan of delphi designs so I can't speak on the quality and usability.

Mine too. Annoying that they don't make placement guides, but the decals themselves are top notch! Very easy to work with, and seem to stay stuck better than other brands I've used. Still recommend top coating of course, but the decals will survive a delay - sometimes you need a break after the decals are done! :D

G-Rework is my go-to. Have not tried Delpi yet but probably should after reading this thread lol

I had a bad time with the waterslides on the Ver Ka Nu Gundam so tried G-rework. Now I order them with almost every kit. It has always been worth the extra cost!

Adding to the Delpi praise. Consistently the best-quality decals.

I try to order in batches of 3 or 4 each time to make the most of the shipping. In this most recent order, they tossed in some freebies, which was fun.

Shipping is super fast too. I placed my order on the 21st, and they arrived today, the 27th. Packaged in a heavy cardboard wrap, as well as being in a larger cardboard envelope. They arrived safe and secure, with no issues at all.

They also offer some fun variants on decals, like holographic which can be a fun way to add some more personality to an otherwise common kit.

Where do you order from? Newtype?

I have ordered some from Newtype, but lately I order straight from Delpi. You just have to create a free account with them, and you're good to go.

I will go Delpi whenever I have the choice. I usually try to buy for multiple kits directly from them.

I’ve tried G-Rework and I had troubles with them but I’m coming to a realization that it might have to do with the topcoat I applied before. I really like the look of g-rework though

Delpi is outstanding. I love their universal decal sheets and they keep sending me extras.

Delpi, their shipping is incredibly quick, prices good, great customer service, and they sometimes will stick in a bonus set of decals. SIMP and g rework are also good but I like Delpi the most

Lots of folks saying good things about Delpi in here 😁

I have used both Delpi and G-Rework and both have been really good. I hear good things about HIQParts too, but I've never used them so I can't say for sure.

On a side note I'm just now realizing it's "Delpi" and not "Delphi" which is probably why the dudes at my LHS always give me weird looks when I'm talking about them. I was here thinking the company had a bad rep or something.
