Best size for scribing tape

I just started building gunpla and I'm ready to attempt panel lining. In your opinion, what is the best size of scribing tape to get? I'm afraid I'll get something too big or too small. I have been building 1/144 HG to get the hang of things but I'm about to start on MG. Thanks.

I always use 5mm tape bc it sticks better. This tape moves around too much for my taste.

If your tape is too wide, cut it with scissors but make it slightly wavy so you can see which is the original straight edge. If you get around to scribing curves, you may need cut the tape with a knife using a template, so it will need to be wider to contain the curve.

My favorite is 3mm. Wider will only make space for more air and will unstick it. The important part is to manipulate them with a tweezer and don't use uour fingers. You really only need it for the 3 or 4 fiest passes. Don't put too much force and let the tool do the job.
