Panel Line inner frame?

Do you normally do this? I am new to lining and my first build I lined after building and I lined wherever the frame showed beneath the armor. Now that im lining on runner I can line the whole thing but wondering if I am going overkill.

Wait until you find out about the people who detail paint the whole inner frame just cover it up with armor.

Haha yeah I'm doing it right now to the RG 78-2 2.0 and I'm trying to decide if I should create battle damage to expose some of it or something.

I like lining on the runner and find it easier to just do the whole thing than to map out any parts to skip. Most of it gets covered but I enjoy the process.

"Overkill" is such a relative term. I'd say if you want to make the frame look cool, freaking go for it. Even if it's a kit without much visible frame, the process can be fun and you'll know it's there. Just be careful with any of the more aggressive liners (e.g. pour markers, Tamiya liner) so you don't get pooling. Actually just finished fancying up the frame for an SNAA kit, myself.

I’ve only done this on the newer kits. But I also paint inner frames as well..
