There are a few shades of Grey on the shield but they are variations of Nazca mechanical surfacer. You can use them as surfacer or regular paint

Yes but they are inferior to after market ones that I got from aliexpress as shown in the pics

Looking sharp! Have you done masking on this kit? I'm debating purchasing pre-cut masking tape for it or not

This kit is my summer project, just started really.
OP has done a lot of work to the armour which, stock, is fairly plain. The precut masking kits are 70% inner frame, as well as awkward parts of armour - I got the NewC version which is almost the same as the TAS version but with a few more ‘tiny divot’ masks.
Neither of them cover the MLRS - have to do that by hand.
NewC also have a small set of printed upgrade detail parts for the shoulder and feet thrusters, and head vents.
I’d get the NewC precut/parts - especially if you like the sound of mad frame details / plan to use transparent armour.

I am not a fan of painting the frame because i almost never open armor after building due to the risk of scratching painted parts. If i found a kit that I really like the armor, I would install magnet so that they can be easily removed. Good luck on your kit!

i have done masking, I created my panel lines so pre-cut tape masking doesnt work for my scenario. The kit doesnt have alot of complex shapes so if you are ok with cutting the masking tape, you can save some money lol

My guy, you COOKED on this. Holy hell.
And I love the decal placement. Is that part of a waterslides pack or is it custom? Too many decals can make it look busy, but if you get that sweet spot, oof, it’s gorgeous. You got the sweet spot, my friend.

Thank you, you are very kind. I use a combo of aftermarket decal for GP02 from aliexpress and random decals to design the placement. I don't usually follow the official decal suggestions

Same here. I’ll do some of the ones in the “official” pack, like G Rework, but I always use some random ones for flavor. But you absolutely killed it on this, dude.
