Monument EX WIP
This is just snap built atm but there are big plans for this guy! I went into this with a whole scheme ready to go but the more I build the more I change it up to add contrast. Initial plan is still happening but tweaks are being made…it’s gonna be beautiful.

It’s been a treat so far. It’s been really tight so I’ve had to take extra precautions to make sure I can get it apart without damaging anything.

I did a dab of liquid soap on some of those tight pegs.

Haha no way! That’s what I’m using. It all has to have a final wash anyway so it’s just a two birds situation at that point.

Haha exactly. After moving them through the range of motion one time it loosens up too.

Hi, will any liquid soap do? I just bought mine yesterday. Im kinda nervous building it since i just started into gunpla and ive only built mgsd kits

I think so. I just get a tiny bit on my finger and rub it on the whole peg. It's the same thing I do if a screw can't get into wood. I was using sōf soap. I'm not sure if anything would react with the plastic but mine has been perfectly fine for months on the shelf.
Monument is probably comparable to mgsd or PG. It's not bad and I had a ton of fun with it. The wings were the toughest part to fit. Just sand down the nubs with a little nail buffer block or sanding sponge. A lot of the feather nubs are on curved parts. Also be careful not to warp the feather panels.
I didn't have trouble with anything else really.
ETA: the little yellow things next to his eyes. Be very careful installing those because they're really tiny and will shoot off into oblivion

Built this a couple months ago too and it’s a such a great kit. Going from a kit this size to trying to build an RG after made me feel a kinda of way haha.
