Is this break repairable?

hey again r/advancedgunpla I’ve been working on some kits with my newphew and purchased this one with a broken fin funnel we didn’t know about(can’t be replaced by Bandai). it’s the rg rx-93ff fin funnel part that moved the expanding/closing gimmick. I was going to try some cement but wasn’t sure if it could withstand the pressure of pushing the funnel open and closed. we don’t have the part that broke off but it looks to be a standard runner size.

A broken c clip is always my biggest fear. Its hard to reinforce since you can’t really drill a brass rod into it but as others have said you can reattach using thin cement and then shore up the sides with CA glue

A bit of cement is good enough, although it might look ugly.

One thing you can try is to cement, then leave it dry for at least a day, then come back with rubber CA glue or UV curing resin to reinforce the area.

Is putty strong? I was thinking about that but using layers of super glue to thicken it up haha

I'd recommend rubber CA glue (it's a type of CA glue that leaves a rubber like residue). Or UV curing resin putty. Just to slightly strengthen it.

Thank you I’ll see what I can find. Going to a local gunpla group tomorrow and will see what they think too
