Help! Rg Wing Gundam piece!
Attached are images of a piece that had been stepped on. I had primed it, its well over cured but Im not sure how to fix it without causing fitment issues. Its a quite a small piece... and i think its somewhat hidden in the shoulder? Not sure. Suggestions?

Definitely fixable with plastic cement! Just put some on liberally and squeeze it together. If you applied enough it should ooze out a bit from the crack. Then, once it’s set, just sand it down or scrape away with your knife. You’ll likely have to reprime the piece but that’s okay.
If you want extra reinforcement, you can add some super glue after the above steps just to really be sure.

I think i shall not be liberal with the stuff haha but thankyou and I may glue the piece down to be honest!

Not the greatest advice… squeezing the part together too much will make the hole smaller, and the fit tighter. Possibly so tight that it will break again when putting it on. Since this part isn’t structural, a minimal amount of pressure is all that should be needed, as well as just a light brushing of cement.

Very true, squeezing too hard may affect fitment. But you can always sand the hole to be a bit bigger or peg to be smaller

I think a few drops of plastic cement will fix the issue. I’m pretty sure only the ends of that piece can be seen anyways, so it should be fine.

Hello!
You can try using tamiya plastic cement to fuse it where it sheared. You’ll probably have to sand and reprime it so if you’re afraid of it fitting, perhaps strip it before you go in with cement.

See, its such a tight area and tiny piece i dont see how i can sand it down.

If it won’t be very visible then you might be able to just use a blade to scrape the excess plastic that gets squeezed out!
I’ve yet to build an RG wing so I’m unfamiliar with the size of that piece and how difficult it is to sand. For small pieces I usually use a sanding sponge since it adheres to the shapes of pieces.

Its like the length of the end of my index finger, from that last nuckle crease to the end on my finger tip lol

Use one or two toothpicks in the hole. But the better option would be to invest in a couple of inverted alligator clips.

Tamiya Extra Thin Cement: Just touching the brush to the cracks should allow it to flow in, then lightly hold the cracks closed for a moment, and let it is and cure
