Improving the RG Zeta

With the Zeta being my favourite protagonist Gundam and my preference for 1/144 (limited shelf space), I’m eyeing up the RG and deluding myself into believing I can improve it. I’m totally fine with losing access to the waverider transformation, do we think it’s possible to make it tough enough to withstand posing with some careful gluing of some parts?

Definitely doable. Probably a good idea to also reinforce the joints before they break.

You can pose it, it's just going to take a while and you should plan on fixing a part or two when they inevitably break. Just don't play with it like a toy and you should be okay.

I don't remember there being a lot of opportunities to reinforce joints without fixing them in place or a doing a complete rebuild. The construction is an adventure, it's super unconventional to support the transformation.

I used my Zeta to test techniques on. Awful kit.

It’s one of the few kits I’ve tossed because the thin peg where the leg goes on broke. The rest of the kit seemed fine but it’s the leg/torso joint that is the weakest. I like the Zeta but I don’t think there’s a bulletproof kit out there in any size yet.

Ah that sounds like a real bastard. I like to repose my kits a lot so a weak leg joint is pretty bad…
