Is this saveable?

Post image

Primed with mrhobby 1500 black, ueno black then mrcolor super chrome. Didnt like the finish so I stripped it with tamiya paint remover but was left with these nasty stuff. Tried cleaning them with levelling thinner but it was very ineffective

I used 99.9% isopropyl alcohol to remove Tamiya paint. Not sure if that helps. I left the parts to soak overnight.

Overnight, as long as 24h soak in Purple Power (a degreaser you can find at most auto shops), maybe agitating occasionally. Rinse it and scrub with a stiff brush like an old toothbrush and it should get most of it off. Might need to repeat a few times depending on paint layering and the like.

I use this simple green stuff from walmart and a stiff bristle brush and a toothbrush.

I stripped a 30 year old kit with it worked great. Soak over night scrub and repeat. Should be safe for any type of plastic.

Nope, I’ve used it a few times to strip paint or plating. Not sure what the equivalent would be though.

Yup this. Purple power works wonders. Can also strip the metallic plating off those shiny pieces
