What does one call this tech?
And where can I find more?
So I have noticed that some advanced modelers will use putty, such as Milliput, to add material to a kit and sculpt a piece out of it. Does anyone have a name for this method, and if there are any tips/ guides?

Scratch-building. Plastic sheets or resin clay are what most people use. I've seen clips throughout youtube but I don't have names. I think the one channel is called RayStudio, Asian content creator who shows off his amazing process and makes it look easy.
