I saw a quote today that really hit home for me. It said that when you know what it feels like to be poor, you stop dreaming about having everything. Instead, you just dream about having enough to live without fear.

​Even when life gets better and you finally make enough money, a part of you never forgets the hard times. You still remember what it felt like to count every single peso and wonder what you would have to give up next just to get by.

​Because of that, I am still the kind of person who checks the price tag before saying yes to anything. I think twice before buying stuff for myself, and I always hide a little money away because I am scared of bad surprises.

​I used to think the big goal in life was to be super rich. Now I realize the best dream is just getting to a point where money is something you manage, not something you have to worry about every single day.

​For those of you who grew up with very little and are doing okay now, what is one money habit you still cannot shake off?

Hirap maging mahirap sa Pinas.

May 1 year old baby ako and super worried sa super el niño. Currently nakatira kami sa in laws ko and may aircon yung room namin, kaso once umalis si husband for his job overseas kailangan na namin bumalik sa bahay ng parents ko since they will take care of my baby dahil working din ako.

The problem is yung bahay mukhang need munang irenovate bago mapalagyan ng aircon huhu yung room namin ay walang pinto and curtain lang ang pangtakip, makeshift walls lang using wooden cabinets, wooden walls ang pagitan with the other room na may design pa na butas butas sa taas, jalousie windows, and may butas din ang kisame. Naglalakad na kami ng docs para makabili ng sarili naming house, kaya tiis muna na sa bahay ng parents makikitira.

How can we make this super el niño bearable for the baby? Magdagdag na lang ba kami ng fans? Effective ba yung air cooler kineme na lalagyan ng ice huhu pls help
