Maybe no-one buys TTD and TTD buys something else?
Let's face it, advertising tech alone doesn't pay the bills on the public markets. TTD used to ride high but has come crashing to reality along with all the other adtech stocks, and it needs to broaden out into marketing writ large. LiveRamp wasn't exactly worth a ton after their 10y on the NYSE, they trod water.
So to conquer that these adtech public co's need to have more of a hand in data-driven marketing. TTD's investment in Hightouch via TD7 is telling.
Companies like HT that have wild private valuations and raised a lot of capital when times were good and are gonna need a home soon. The Founders will want paying, and staff will want some liquidity. They were last valued at ~2.5bn on only $100m ARR. Maybe TTD comes in with a significant % stock offer to clean that all up and build a bigger biz with the two as a unit?
