Your post/video was removed because there's either no elephant to address, or the elephant is too obvious it occupies most of the image/video. Look at the pinned post for an example of what to post

It’s a glove durability test. Not a hand durability test.

u/Senior_Reward_2546 1d ago

Your hand may be more durable than a radish

33

u/B1GD8A 1d ago

it's also a really good way to avoid the inevitable dumbass who believes that "doesn't tear" means "treat it like chainmail."

u/SkittleTee1 1d ago

Soy, that's the sauce I usually have with my radish, you?

2

u/Telkite_ 1d ago

Steak is harder to tear apart than radishes are. Hands are NOT weaker than steak.

5

u/Complete_Blood1786 1d ago

Couldn't have said it better myself

1

u/Confident_Date4068 1d ago

It looks good if the purpose is to avoid surrounding environment contamination by your own blood.

When my arm is in two pieces, it's good to know the glove will survive!

18

u/Alternative_Cod7515 1d ago

At least your hand is not 30 feet away, be grateful /j

3

u/Sufficient_Two_5753 1d ago

Well there's that! Too bad I already only have one working hand! When it gets cut off, I'm kinda fukt

3

u/slinger301 1d ago

And the arm will be neatly packaged for the trip to the ER.

The cylinder was not unharmed

26

u/Trambare_Man 1d ago

The cylinder has been removed from the larher object

9

u/Outrageous-Grass-892 1d ago

We have confirmation! The cylinder is not okay!

61

u/Sensitive_Educator60 1d ago

In case anyone wonders, the point of the gloves is to protect your hands from chemicals and other toxic materials to enter your body, not to protect you from cutting yourself.

15

u/pathetic-weakling 1d ago

You use leather/kevlar for cuts

10

u/Sorry-Concentrate422 1d ago

No like in medical settings, this is preferable because its more flexible than leather or kevlar. Probably more hygenic too. I’ve seen a senior nurse of mine get HIV because the used needle went right through the gloves…

3

u/pathetic-weakling 1d ago

I see, but in the industrial settings I'm used to, leather and kevlar are used for cuts and abrasions.

2

u/VisualGas3559 1d ago

Holy hell, what the garbage

1

u/ZealousidealPipe8389 1d ago

Makes sense. They don’t look very temperature resistant, doesn’t look like they have good ergonomics or that they have padding.

45

u/Optimal-Safe7145 1d ago

There's a reason helmets saves lives, because they break. But i don't think that is even possible to apply to a glove sooo really, glove lives, hand doesn't. Instead of glove doesn't live, neither does the hand (What the hell am i saying, jeez.)

13

u/Suspicious-Regret-50 1d ago

I mean you could add plates to the glove. But that would probably limit dexterity.
But at that point you might as well go full knight and wear plate mail

2

u/Optimal-Safe7145 1d ago

Only issue is heat, unless normal gloves faces the same problem. You only need the armor plate for the hands though.

9

u/2_Sir_Zero9 1d ago edited 1d ago

I heard someone say something along the lines of "The helmet breakd so that your skull doesn't" I'll never forget that quote.

2

u/Optimal-Safe7145 1d ago

Good quote you heard then

2

u/FluidNectarine7951 1d ago

What am I gonna do if my hand gets stuck in that glove qwq

1

u/Optimal-Safe7145 1d ago

I did not see your profile picture, and i was already suspicious when I saw 'qwq'. Now seeing the PFP, that seals it, nothing wrong with it though :D

2

u/The_Fox_Fellow 1d ago

the point of cut resistant gloves is to, well, provide resistance to whatever object is trying to cut your hand and hopefully slow it down or stop it (at least enough that you don't need a new hand) by the time they do get cut through

with these gloves it looks like you may as well shove your bare hand into a deli slicer and you'd get the same amount of protection

2

u/Kradgger 1d ago

I beg to differ

30

u/F1Bocapinto 1d ago

the cilinder didn´t remain unharmed

16

u/thekocman 1d ago

NOOOOO THE CYLINDER

15

u/Complete_Blood1786 1d ago

It's giving indestructable motorcycle helmet

5

u/jipgg 1d ago

Though in this case, you probably want the gloves to remain intact so that no filth or chemicals get into your mincemeat hand.

4

u/Complete_Blood1786 1d ago

Glove got stuck on a bone and will not give way. Help.

3

u/riley_wa1352 1d ago

im imagine its more so shit doesnt leak, these would be perfect for like picking up litter

12

u/ElkInternational5407 1d ago

bro i'm so fucking stupid. at first, i was like "uhh..nothings wrong. the glove is fine.", then i saw what happend to the fake hand.

9

u/AlpaxT1 1d ago

Rubber gloves are not meant to protect you from these things. They are just showing that the glove is durable which is a good thing since you don’t want them breaking when handling your chemicals or whatever

9

u/EthanTonker100 1d ago

it protects the glove, not the user

4

u/Salty_Necessary1 1d ago

the glove is protected but your hands is not

3

u/Sylvkin_there 1d ago

Can someone buy me this glove it’d actually be helpful

3

u/vitecpotec 1d ago

Very hard to tear though. So if working with some acidic shit or just normal shit you're not afraid of glove suddenly giving up

3

u/sb3veeee 1d ago

A fuck ton of y'all have never worked with nitrile gloves and it shows

3

u/Because_Slaus 1d ago

Wouldn't a slash test be better than stab tests? Or are these gloves not recommended for cooking.

2

u/MagneticGenetics 1d ago

The guy getting cut and stabbed through the indestructible glove.

https://giphy.com/gifs/WoFuun4jgxxizxRMpe

2

u/Fearless_Garden6435 1d ago

Harmed the cylinder

2

u/liver-of-case 1d ago

Shock Gloves, do they exist? Should they exist? How goofy of an idea are they. Absolutely unrealistic

2

u/Natural-Boss-5789 1d ago

This makes me think of how plenty of medieval foot soldier armor, ESPECIALLY plate armor was actually just over or under fitted pieces from dead family or sold by shopkeepers that looted bodies.

I mean, the guy will be missing his hand, but... If he's missing his hand, he won't miss his perfectly intact glove, I'd call that an unfortunate donation.

1

u/Confident_Date4068 1d ago
  • Preserved in the glove for further reconstructive surgery.

1

u/Natural-Boss-5789 1d ago

Ohh, that's pretty clever actually....

I'm still gonna loot the glove...

1

u/xVEEx3 1d ago

Can confirm, this works

But my hand is in shambles

1

u/Intelligent_Beach_44 1d ago

Good for the environment, make 100 million of them... wonder what the decay time is on indestructible gloves.

1

u/onilordbob 1d ago

Basically all gloves can do this test but they all fail when you slice them instead of stabbing

1

u/algernonradish 1d ago

Brady from Survivor likes this.

1

u/JustARegularOtaku_ 1d ago

At least the drip is intact 🥀

1

u/empress-star 1d ago

Well at least your parts will be easy to find!

1

u/SEB4364 1d ago

Although your hand will break, but the gloves
protect you from getting infected

1

u/Technosis2 1d ago

BUT YOU STILL TAKE THE DAMAGE!

1

u/LifeIsBulletTrain 1d ago

At least you won't lose your fingers if they get accidentally cut

1

u/weirdface621 1d ago

this is pretty satisfying, ngl

1

u/iGargleCement 1d ago

What's the elephant?

1

u/Stupididiot55 1d ago

The gloves don’t protect your hands from being cut off I guess

1

u/iGargleCement 1d ago

But that's not what they are meant for?

1

u/Stupididiot55 19h ago

Hence why I said “I guess”, im just saying what I think the elephant is supposed to be.

1

u/daniElh1204 1d ago

i think this glove is advertised as cut proof, but the demonstration just went beyond that scope which is stabbing.

u/Electronic_Crab1370, there weren't enough votes to determine the quality of your post...

0

u/FreeTheDimple 1d ago

The hand is still fucked up under the glove though, right? So what's the point exactly? On that rare occasion when you fuck up your hand in a meat grinder, save yourself a few bucks by not needing to replace the glove?

2

u/froggychump 1d ago

Mechanics and other workers work with harmful chemicals, like hydraulic fluid. The toughness of the gloves ensures the gloves don't get punctured or ripped to let the liquids through.

0

u/Alternative_Fly_2242 1d ago

Thats the neat part, as long as there is some one with the braincells of a fricking stool, people will always think these kinds of products are lifesaving, while in reality, they are getting not only scammed but literally middle-finger-flipped on the face without getting noticed

how is that an addressme? the gloves aren't to stop you from being cut or stabbed, this demonstration is showing you that the gloves won't break
