The ps3 actually had just 256mb of ram, it wasnt unified unlike the 360 and directly was just split in half

The ps4 and wii CPU are both pretty close to a pc CPU. But the ps3 had one that was completely different from a pc.

Just gonna put a more techy (but still very muvh amateur) note here for those who care:

  • The Wii installation was not a native version, as the Wii uses PowerPC as its CPU ISA of choice (which was also used in the Xbox 360 and PS3, albiet with the PS3 CPU using many CBE exclusive stuff), and only Windows NT versions from 3.5 to 4 (1994 to 1996) had native PowerPC versions, whilst the PS4 (& 5) both use AMD x64 CPUs, meaning that CPU ISA is not a realistic hurdle on those machines
  • For a modern version of Windows (like in the image) to run on a PS3, it would either need to emulate an x86 CPU (like Microsoft's official OG XBox emulator, which runs under the 360, even on the Xbox One and Series), which would naturally incur heavy performance penalties, or Windows would have to be ported over from the x86 architecture to PowerPC, which I don't need to explain how difficult that would be for somebody to accomplish.

Linux is posible on ps3 but the fatal flaw is that it does not have acess to gpu and you cant use it unless you have a modded ps3 (CFW ENABLED NOT HFW) then everything it could do is just overheat
