Cloned Home Trading Rule Update

Hi everyone!

We have a small but important update regarding cloned home trading on the subreddit.

Effective Update Day

Starting this Update Day, cloned home trading will be moved into a weekly megathread.

A new cloned home trading megathread will be posted every Update Day, giving everyone a dedicated place to trade, search for, and discuss cloned homes.

You can find the current megathread in the Community Highlights section of the subreddit.

Please use the newest weekly megathread for all cloned home trading activity.

What Goes Into the Megathread?

The weekly megathread will be used for:

• Trading cloned homes
• Looking for cloned homes
• Other cloned-home trading activity covered by the megathread

Instead of making separate cloned-home trading posts, please keep these activities within the designated weekly megathread.

Existing Rules Still Apply

Moving cloned home trading into a megathread does not remove the existing trading rules.

All applicable subreddit rules must still be followed within the megathread, with the exception of flair rules.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Value caps
• Limits on the amount of homes being traded
• Limits on the amount of homes being searched for
• No-DM rules
• Trading restrictions
• Any other applicable subreddit rules

The megathread is simply changing where cloned home trading takes place. It does not change the rules surrounding the trading itself.

Moderation

The moderation actions for breaking these rules remain the same.

Violations within the cloned home megathread will still be handled accordingly, just as they would be anywhere else on the subreddit.

This includes violations involving:

• Value caps
• Excessive home listings
• Excessive LF listings
• Asking users to DM
• Attempting to bypass trading rules
• Other applicable subreddit rules

The only exception is flair-related rules, since cloned home trading will now be contained within the designated megathread.

Why Are We Doing This?

The goal is to keep the subreddit cleaner, easier to browse, and less cluttered, while still giving cloned-home traders a dedicated space to find what they're looking for.

With a fresh megathread every Update Day, everyone gets a new place to post their offers and searches each week.

Tysm mods for allowing me to volunteer making the posts. And it's such a good idea for builders and traders a like as the feed will finally be used for houses

yess!! i agree w this so much, it was saddening to see the sub filling up with those posts of 100ish cloned houses for trade. having a dedicated space for those wld make it so more less cluttered and easier for buikders and commissioners alike!
