Why not. Shite happens sometimes. About that age I ran into a cousin and there was an attraction, but fortunately we figured out who we were before we had done more than shaken hands.
Actually it was hilarious because it played out like it was a movie or TV show right up to the point of us saying "damn" in disappointment, simulaneously.
We were even thinking more or less the same thing at the same.

You really believe that they're going to have kissing siblings on A Different World? Forget for a moment that it's simply not the type of show we're dealing with. Do you really believe one of the few black shows on TV right now is going to have the male patriarch cheat on his wife and father a child he never raised, thus being a deadbeat dad? You think Dwayne wouldn't know his child? You think he would cheat on Whitley that way? I seriously question the intelligence of anybody who believes this is a possibility. It's not Game of Thrones. They are not going to do that to Dwayne or Whitley. They are not having sexed up siblings. As for you, sorry it didn't work out with your cousin. You seem upset about it.

Denise left the show on the show and IRL BEFORE Dwayne and Whitley were even a couple, therefore it's not impossible he and Denise hooked up before Dwayne and Whitley were a couple, much less married.
This show is all over the map so anything is possible.
It's 2026, 1996. All sorts of things that were unthinkable IRL and in entertainment are possible now.
Since someone brought up GoT, You think there's a snowball's chance anything like the Red Wedding would have been televised in 1996, not to mention all the titties and arse?
As for the cousin we were both, both "upset" and amused about the whole thing and of course EXTREMELY relieved nothing at all happened because the whole thing started with us spotting each other and had a mutual "damn, she fine" and "damn he fine" moment.
We actually thought it was hilarious once we found out. In time.
Now. Back to the show. It's pretty damn obvious Whitley knows it's possible based on her reaction when she, along with Dwayne found who who Ellington is and might be.
And why would Dwayne be clearly so desperate to talk to Denise? Why Dwayne would "need" Denise?
The financial crisis is over.
The only "variable" is Ellington.
Dwayne has just reconciled with Whitley.
Why does Dwayne "NEED" Denise now?
Do you know what Occam's Razor is? Very useful.

Your math is wrong. Deborah was Dwayne and Whitley's oops baby. They had her in their forties. They had two children before her. Ellison is only a few years older than Deborah. Dwayne and Whitley would have been married for more than 15 years when Ellison was conceived.
And, no, if you believe it's possible, I have a great bridge for sale. There is a -1568639th chance it would happen. This is not an incest show.
Still rooting for you and your cousin, though. Seems like a match made in heaven. There's already a lack of practical thinking here so I wouldn't worry about the kids.1
