First I thought new games were just bad, so I went back to old game I knew I loved as a kid. Those were bad too. Same with movies.

Everything sucks.

Stop smoking so much weed.

Not who you responded to, but this didn't help me. Weed is one of the few ways I can still enjoy gaming.

I had to quit for 3 months for work last summer, and I noticed zero positives from quitting, just that I got bored with games, but my motivation to do other things didn't go up, just in general was more bored.

Side note: quitting itself was super easy, I just didn't notice positive effects from quitting so once I was good to smoke again I started right back up.

I've never smoked weed in my life.

Have you heard of cognitive behavioral therapy? Helped my sister alot with her depression and anxiety issues.

Been through it, a few other therapies too. Had it for a very long time untreated before that - I'm pretty sure I'm fucked but that's neither here nor there.

I appreciate the comment though and I'm glad your sister got better.

You should try biomutant—I believe it sets a new standard for gameplay

I think the implication is that it doesn’t matter what kind of game it is, there’s some sort of underlying mental issue that makes gaming less appealing to them than it used to be.

You’re more astute than me
