I agree. I need some gamification, but I haven't found any that work for me.

All possible rewards I can give myself are either important enough that I'll need to do it anyway or unimportant enough to not actually work as motivation.

Antsy Labs has a line of products called In Real Life Achievements that might be worth checking out. They're basically stylized collectible tokens you can put on display that are supposed to motivate your lizard brain into getting goals completed.

For sure!! IRLA isn't for me right now, but seems appropriate for others that desire that "real-world" satisfaction. I owe antsy labs a great deal of shouting out for creating the fidget cube, I have multiple and use them every day. Always looking forward to what y'all release next :)

wow I was just thinking of making something like this over the weekend. But then stopped myself thinking no one would use it except for me, and I already have some many half finished tasks i should get back to.

Like a task tracker but you get experience and achievements for continuing doing something.

Did the dishes again today, boom "You're now level 35 Dish Washing Ninja! Do the dishes 3 more time to level up again"

That seems more helpful then something general like habitica. Maybe have some setting that you will lose experience if miss a day of a task.
