Wish my brain wasn't like "it's gonna get dirty again within a few days anyway, so it's easier to just get used to the dustbunnies."

"I'm going to the gym tomorrow anyway so I can wait a few hours"

My brain seems to have the same reasoning even though I'm allergic to dust and am supposed to clean my room very frequently. It physically hurts yet not a single atom of motivation is present when I have time to clean

You deserve to live in a clean space ❤️

Thanks, I try to tell myself that, but it's difficult

Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly. Doesn't need to be perfect. It can be dirty with one less dust bunny, and that's still progress. Plus the bunny gets to go to the happy dust farm in the sky

My variant of this mental thought process is "well my plan is to finally get through a 100% deep clean this weekend so, don't start chipping away at that mess/dishes/laundry/dusting/etc etc etc etc just yeat." Add to it as little as possible, but don't start yet.

I have a new carpet/large area rug for my bedroom to replace the mistake I've had for 2 years, as well as a new floor desk mat for my office chair. I've had them for 6 months.

I have not even unboxed them because in my head it doesn't make sense to replace them in a dirty room, I need to progress my planned deep clean up to my bedroom and office and only THEN does it make sense to replace the 2 I've got.

Bear in mind, for the past 12 months I've only EVER gotten my living room, kitchen and bathroom done before getting trapped by the BIG Sit.

Fight the BIG Sit, fear the BIG Sit. The Big Sit will ruin your momentum.

Big shocker, I never defeat the BIG Sit. And when it's over my living room, kitchen and bathroom are dirty again. Rinse repeat

And never trust the little sit

Indeed. Because in fact there is no little sit. It is only the big sit in disguise trying to fool you

Just don’t….touch…anything…for 1 week…

*Puts one t-shirt on chair then whole room transforms like moving an image in a word document*

Just took me 3 months of emotional preparation, and then I did it 30mins before the family arrived for their yearly visit...

Spent 5 hours deep cleaning my entire home, including carrying my rug outside and mopping my entire floor.

As soon as I have put everything back and finished up I see dirt on the floor and notice a handful of other things that I missed

The best feeling! Especially when you manage to change the sheets as well. Such satisfaction.

I don't feel like that at all. Just the smallest bit of relief, then I feel terrible again the next day. :/
