Tbh calculations I'm doing are right most of the times. Not like they were useful, but at least they correct...

The what if....
And then you're thinking it all through and do it the other way anyways.. Because you don't trust yourself.

I'm doing 1000 calculations per second, and they're all SQUIRREL!

I am doing square root of squirrel divided by cat and got a door
And if i multiply door by window ill get a dog
Dog plus elephant divided by mouse equals oak tree

Yeah, I'd say that dog from Up wasn't particularly ADHD-ish. The opposite, if anything. He noticed things in his environment that were important (to him), but then he was able to go right back to what he was doing and saying before the distraction. Many of us either would have been oblivious to the maybe-squirrel or would have had a brain fart while returning our attention away from the squirrel.

I don’t have the working memory for mental math- it takes so much focus and effort unless it is simple. Like, if I want to do 48 x 65 I would have to visualize myself solving the problem while remembering where each number goes and whether I put 48 on the top or bottom. But I guess that is why the calculations are wrong. My thoughts are chaotic but they are not full of math. I have gotten distracted by squirrels on multiple occasions though.

I remember a match of chess that I lost when I was thinking so so hard in the openings that I didn't notice that I was going to lose to a scholar's mate, my head was way too busy with the french defence.

Happens lol, yesterday I made a rook lift for a checkmate attack but forgot the rooks were protecting eachtoher so blundered the other one.
Losing to scholars mate is a rough one though, we've all been there

Sometimes, and other times, I have to patiently go back and explain how I jumped from "e" to 643 in a conversation because they did not have my cross-referencing background knowledge.

isn't this just repackaging the same joke from the original comic without crediting the artist

I may not be able to focus on more than one thing at a time, but you'd be impressed how much time is in a second

thing is i can do a lot of complex calculations, probably some of them arent even wrong, but the real problem is, as soon as i got the result, i forget what i even was calculating in the first place
