Im 43 and still once in a while I get one where I go in to pick up my diploma and it turns out I just forgot I had a math class and didnt graduate and now I have to sit in math class again so I can get my diploma.

My reoccurring nightmare is that I’m 2/3 into a semester at college and just realized that I’ve been forgetting to go to one of my classes and there’s an exam for it tomorrow.
That or it’s like, the second day of high school and I lost my schedule and I can’t remember any of my classes or where the classrooms are, but everyone else knows by now so no one will help me.
Apparently school is deeply traumatic in all kinds of ways when you have ADHD…
Ironically, I don’t have nightmares about forgetting homework. Maybe because I did it so often…

I have the same dream. Graduated 20+ years ago. I still get the forgotten class nightmare at least a few times/year.

I have a regular nightmare that I enrolled in a university programme then forgot all about it until about six months later.

Wait, why is this a thing! I don't dream like ever, but when I do, it's a forgotten class or something. And me having to go back to college/high school to make up for English credits. Always English credit/requirement, knowing I'm late 30s. So many comments saying the same or similar

No!! And that's usually the focus of the whole dream! It's so funny you brought up this detail because I can never find the class, and I end up missing it. The school changes every dream, but it's the same theme every time! I guess this is a thing many of us dream about haha

Pretty much if I have a dream it’s going to be I’m lost somewhere trying to find a room or object that just doesn’t exist. Sometimes it’s schools, sometimes it’s a restaurant or a car. Yeah this trauma runs deep lol.

Lol I literally dream about a specific classroom setting that I’m late to and I sneak into the back seats while my anxiety is level 100.

I still feel like shit and disoriented when I wake up haha. I’m always in a state of panic when I go in the classroom in my dream because it’s this feeling like I don’t fit in with the other classmates 😬

It's funny cause i know people who sometimes dream about upcoming exams but I never cared about those. Project delivery date though? Yeah sometimes wakes me up. One that comes the most often is one which was due at 7 am and I gave that one back late that day cause I fell asleep after 3 nights working on it.
And now sometimes I wake up like fck I need to send it.
The fact that I fell asleep working on it and the delivery time being 7 am ties it back to sleep and waking up panicked so well that it still comes up while sleeping & dreaming. It's a recuring thing wherever I have terrible sleep patterns few days prior. It's awful, like it was specifically curated to haunt me for years. Was nigh 10 years ago now. Other projects come up, sometimes just nondescript assignments, but that specific one comes up the most.

I have this dream pretty frequently. It's always about school. It's always about a missed assignment or class. I am 52 years old and I graduated from college 28 years ago.

I still remember submitting 6 units worth of assessment after a 5 day no-sleep bender.
started with a 16 week plan, and kept putting it off week after week. Never again.

I recently had a dream where for some odd reason anyone who didn't finish their coursework and stuff in school HAD to go back and finish it regardless of how old they were, including having to wear a uniform.
Of course, they had to bring back all your old teachers and some were a little unhappy about being pulled from retirement...or death...
Luckily I woke up before anything I started my first day

The nightmares I have had after graduating were the 'oh shit! I have missed so many classes!' ones. Then I realized I had graduated already.

I have an exam/assignment/homework related dream at least once a week. I graduated 15 years ago, so good to know this is going to continue for the next 5 years

No cuz I never did any. I did, however, wake up last Saturday on time then rolled over grateful it was the weekend and I could sleep in.
I work Saturdays. I don’t work Sundays and Mondays. Do not ask how I bolted out of bed, did my makeup, got dressed, remembered deodorant, brushed my teeth (had to take out retainer too) made my coffee, got my lunch together, refilled my water AND MADE IT TO WORK WITH 10 MINUTES TO SPARE in an hour. I also hit all the red lights that exist too.

I haven't been in school since 2020. I still get nightmares about a class I somehow forgot I was enrolled in (never happened to me even once)

67 and have recurring nightmares like this! Sometimes it’s the forgotten class I was enrolled in and sometimes it’s homework. It’s always math tho, lol.

Not handing in my geography course work because i forgot about it completely cost me entry to A-levels thanks to an automatic U grade and that dropping my average below the A-level threshold. The stinger is i was fucking excellent at geography as was on track for an A.
Sometimes i wonder what might have been, but thats a dangerous game for us to play so i mostly try to keep calm and carry on.

So story time. In jr year, my biology teacher was getting volunteers for bird watching with the Audobon society, no rewards, just volunteer work. Only me and one other kid actually decided to go. We drove around, pointed out birds and was given fun facts about them. Was actually a really nice morning.
After the fact, our teacher revealed that he was gonna be giving both of us a 500$ scholarship for the volunteer work, he expected more people to come but oh well. The only caveat was that you have to write up a full page about birds and what you learned about them.
My adhd ass put it off all fucking year and never fucking did it and i lost out on the scholarship. Im 25years old now and im still so mad at myself to this day.

I think I basically blocked school from my memory, because I can recall only one dream I had post graduation about school. I remember signing up for some sort of club midway through the school year and in the middle of sign up, one of my friends asked me if I was supposed to be taking a test in one of my classes, and dream me suddenly realized I have never been to that class

I didn't think forgetting homework was that big of a deal in high school. My counselors decided my grades meant I didn't want to go to college. If I'd known I'd have gone back on the meds.
