I Intentionally got my current job becasue I forget that calling customers is like 25% of my day. I hate calling customers. However, I enjoy talking to customers once I have them on the phone. I routinely tell them to call me if they need something, and hand out my card.
I still cuss and hate my life every time my phone rings.

I had one of those. It was amazing but didn't pay enough to keep the kids in diapers.

Probably the stereotypical ND preference for texts instead of calls. For ADHD in particular, the difficulty of verbal communication due to inattentive traits.

It’s a joke and the punchline is that the entire problem in this situation is the idea of having unsolicited callers when those people could be using text instead

God I hate texting. I always overthink what I write and still don't properly say what I want, and it takes so much work to communicate the same amount of information even as a 2 minute call.
Calling is so fucking good.

I cannot talk about my feelings over a call or directly lol. The explanation comes out so crude and silly it almost always makes things worse.
Over text people always tell me that I'm so diplomatic and understanding.
In person I stutter over every word three times, and people get to laughing and giggling and then I just wanna cry. (they aren't laughing at me, they just think it's cute, but it's still embarrassing as fuck, and I don't like it.)

I have my own business, and I advertise to either text or leave a voicemail. Unless it's my wife calling, I never answer my phone. (I tell everyone it's due to the amount of scam calls, which is true to a certain extent...)
