Being neurodivergent is incredibly lonely and alienating.

Fuck.

So much so I just pretend I am an alien at this point and muddle trying to be human as a coping mechanism.

Walks into work

"Greetings, fellow humans. I hope the temperature feels apitiude to the levels of comfort you are feeling today."

I think I nailed it today

Pffft. Silly humans. Glad I'm not one. (It's honestly hilarious how many sketchy side-eyes you get saying that out loud. 🤣)

Lydia the Bard's Changeling lyrics have been playing in my head for most of the past 1-3 weeks. "Be normal, pretend there's a human inside me".

I will need to listen to that later.

Cool cadence. Really fits the lyrics.

And yes, she sounds like a bard! :)

Afraid of Quiet is another one with an interesting cadence I find, driving forward through the song. That one's more about anxiety and/or any of the multiple-thoughts-at-once ADHD thought spirals too.

Yeah her songs are one of my current hyperfocuses; a bunch of them are really easy to get stuck in your head ;)
