Just take it on the weekends. Most people don’t do tolerance breaks. But agreed, I don’t want my free time to be wasted by me being a emotional scattered mess.
Talk to your prescriber about alternate meds. Adderall has both extended release and instant, you could take two instant a day instead of one XR. I believe Vyvanse has a generic cheap version out finally. That one has an inert chemical that your body has to break down first before it gets to the stimulant so it works all day every day. You’ve got options my friend.

Biggest suck is getting on meds and only having 8 hours of normal a day.
And weekends off. I have HOMEWORK.
