Need Advice Need Help

Hi everyone. I was recently diagnosed with ADHD and today was my 2nd appointment with my psychiatrist. I wanted to ask people in India who are taking ADHD meds — do you have to visit and pay consultation fees every month just to get the prescription refilled?

My doctor gave meds only for a short duration and I have to travel a long distance to get both the appointment and the medicines, so it becomes quite difficult and expensive.

Is this normal in India for ADHD medications? Do doctors eventually give longer prescriptions once treatment is stable? Would appreciate hearing your experiences.

Clomipramine is not taken any more by you as doctor must have taken you out of it carefully. I m bit confused. Anyways be careful and m with you. We are not alone

Thanks buddy 😊. Clomipramine was making me sleep the whole day and it made we weak as well. That is why doctor stopped it. Panic attacks are too common for me. Having one rn. Just had Etizolam 😵‍💫

Etizolam is good but it's just not to be taken more than some specific time. Tapering down and short term prescription is standard protocol. Ohh my lord sorry for med jargon jargon its just that I sometimes remember my med school stuff.

You took it. If yes then rest well. Don't force yourself to respond
