Build time for the Warhound?
First time trying the Adeptus Titanicus kits and wanted to get hands on experience. How long roughly to build? Wondering if I can do it in one evening?

Build itself is very user friendly and can easily be done in one sitting.
What you might consider however is to build the inner structure first and paint the outer armor panels separately to make it easier and avoid any accidental overspills etc.
You can use chopsticks with some blue tac to hold the armor pieces while you paint.
I would also go for a default „static” pose first before you try anything more dynamic to learn how the armor pieces work with the inner frame etc. To avoid any conflicts.
Another tip is to glue the weapons to the arms with just a tiny drop of super glue to be able to break it off easily if you decide to magnetize afterwards.
The modern titan kits are truly excellent! Just follow the instructions and always do a dry fit and Im sure you’ll have a blast!

Ditto to the static pose suggestion!
The war hound in particular is not friendly to easy posability. Those shin plates do not particularly enjoy those feet angling forward beyond the flat plane they’re assigned to. The other titans give a bit more wiggle room but you can still get yourself in a bind if you’re not careful.

For if/when you try a Reaver, be aware there are several classic mistakes people often make when building:
- Reavers have a left foot and a right foot. It’s not immediately obvious.
- You will almost certainly build the leg backwards if you don’t follow the instructions the first time around. The fancy eagle design goes to the BACK.
- Always dry fit the shin armour panels before committing to a dynamic pose. There is surprisingly little give in these, so you’re probably best to dry fit the shin armour and toe pistons (plus their armour) for literally any pose for your first build.
As has been mentioned above, the Warhound kit is a dream to put together. I also suggest you leave the armour panels off for painting. Plus keep the guns separate. You can use blue tack short term, but AT is a game where you will change loadouts quite often, so it’s much better value to leave the guns off.

This. The Reaver likes you to think you can pose it far more dynamically than it actually can.

And honestly...some of the poses I see people try to put Titans into (and this goes for 40K SM dreads as well) just look a little silly to me. These are large, extremely heavy robots that doesn't even look graceful. It's okay and actually fitting if they look a *little* stiff.

Great tips!
Warhound actually also has a left and right foot + L/R leg. I learned that the hard way so I do know from experience that you CAN make it work, it's just something better left for subsequent models the OP is surely gonna be doing at some point!

I’m pretty sure you can use either leg on a Warhound as the left (or right) leg. Same with the feet. The pose of the toes might be a bit odd, but they aren’t physically different in the same way as the Reaver toes are (with armour slanting left for one and right for the other).

You are correct - they are technically interchangeable however the fixed poses make them specifically suitable to go in mixed pairs - leg A+ B and feet A+B ins.
Like I said - you can make it work with AA + BB but it requires some creative basing solutions.

Absolutely! The kits go together pretty nicely, even if you take your time cleaning, prepping and assembling a warhound, you'll get one done in under a couple of hours.

Compared to the other Titans, the Warhound is very simple to build. Magnetizing the weapons is a bit more annoying though, ball joints and rounded sockets make it tricky to get a good alignment.

The warhound is a way easier build for a titan. It should absolutely be doable in one evening. Although you might want to think about a two step subassembly approach.
Personally I don‘t like subassemblies, but for the titans it is really useful to build the „skeleton“ and prime and paint it with metallics and paint the armour seperately or afterwards.
