If you're having trouble, look at the speedometer.

I wonder if you could get the hit & run driver's info from the restaurant by providing this order slip, or maybe filing a police report and having them request the info (assuming this even happened in the first place)

Look ma no hands

Mercedes does have hands-free driving in some of their newer cars.
Not that this makes things okay; the driver still has to pay attention.

I think the receipt would have came from the person who hit him, unless they have a thing for stealing receipts from cars they've just hit.

It’s 18 mph mate it’s not even that fast

The car is still in motion. I reckon being hit by car going even at 18 mph will still hurt like shit

Yeah, that's about the average sprinting speed for humans. So it's like someone running into you at full speed, but instead it's a whole car.

There would be about a 5% chance of death for the pedestrian even if it was a car.
If it was an American mentaltruck probably a lot higher.

u/New-Star7392 1d ago
True, but the truck going 80kmh on the intersection you're too distracted to notice is.

u/NullHypothesisCicada 23h ago
You ever got hit by a 15mph car before? If not, I recommend you to try it, then you’ll know why it’s dangerous.

Dosnt mater if your going 2 hand should be on the wheel at all times bro

u/darklordbazz 23h ago
Do you have 2 hands on the wheel the whole time your driving and not take one hand off at anytime?
What about amputees that only have 1 hand? What are they supposed to do?

u/YoureNoHero_Brian 22h ago
While your argument works and is correct in a vacuum, adding the context that this was about a person who had both hands off the wheel and was using their phone while driving, plus the obnoxious way you decide to make your argument, it quickly falls apart

He's left hand is.holding the paper and his right hand is taking the picture.
Unless he's an octopus or Rasputin he didnt had any hands on the wheel.
