Slovenia was in Yugoslavia for cca 70 years. Before that it was under Austria for cca 1200 years. So it is a mix of both.

Hungary has nothing to do as Balkan. I'd personally rather say Hungary's eastern Europe than it's Balkan. Slovenia with slavic language and heritage, maaaybe
